Imagine a Laney GH50R tube head in the loop of the SYN-2 and both together in 4-cable-method with a Digitech GSP1101. That's a fully midi controllable dead silent one-step-whole-sound system with 5(!) real full tube channels, dozens of (virtual) stompboxes and all common digital effects, including noisegate, compressor and parametric EQ, with no fan noise and no time gap when switching. Everything controlled by the Control 2 (one of the best midi boards on the planet), phantom powered and with tuner display. Now we can finally lay our antique JMP-1s, ADA Mp1s and Piranhas to rest, because they finally gave us a new midi switchable multi channel real tube rack preamp. That was about time. Thank you Synergy. Now buy the damn thing, so those guys don't fade into oblivion. It can't be just "tap dance or modeler", we need options like this.
They did and Synergy has some excellent points (in the SYN-1 video comments) on how their approach is on a whole new level. That being said, the SYN 1&2 are backwards compatible with old Randal modules.
To be fair, Seymour Duncan made an amp with swappable PGM cards, back in the mid 80's, called The Convertible. Bruce also built one or two, 4 channel, rack module systems, around the same time under his then, Natec brand.
I see it as an analog reply to all the digital modeling amps that've become so popular of late. Seems like everybody wants a handful of amps at the ready for every gig.
This is in the description mate..."The modules contains a host of premium parts that made the originals special, along with a duo of 12AX7s for truly authentic tone" would you think that it is a tube amp??
Install an AC and a BE into one of these and you've got a "Morgan Friedman" preamp for voiceovers...
This comment is WAY too underrated

Kinda funny that he said Morgan Friedman
I imagine that morgan freeman is choking on food while eating, he feels like someone mentioned his name. hahaha. 😂
Would have gone for more gain on the Them Bones intro personally. Great demo though 👍
Awesome intro tune,
I feel so alone, gon' end up a big ol' pile o' them boooooones...
Personally I would just buy a Kemper over this - to each his own - does sound good
just as long as its rackable, idc about anything else 😁😁😁
Heavy riff!!!
👍 awesome 👍
We love you Andy!!!
I don't know what that opening jam was, but I like it.
Alice In Chains- Them Bones - killer tune!
Them bones
recorded direct?
Man, if it doesn’t sound good when Andy demo’s it, it must really sound like shit in person 😂
That opening riff though..
Them Bones by Alice in Chains
D Wright - METALHEAD thank you!
@@djw6670 Alice in Chains is so underrated these days.
Rouwiinator, nah.
WOULD you suggest using this in a power-amp and cabinet situation?
See what I did there? 😂
On the website, you can buy the syn1 or syn2, but I cant tell if they come with modules or not. Anyone know?
They do not come with modules. Those are purchased separately for 399
You should get the actual amps and compare them to the real amp to see how they compare
Didn't Randall do this many years ago? I mean the modular preamp thing
They did and Synergy has some excellent points (in the SYN-1 video comments) on how their approach is on a whole new level. That being said, the SYN 1&2 are backwards compatible with old Randal modules.
Randall licensed the design from Bruce Egnater, who built his M4 system 15+ years ago.

AIC!!!!!
I feel so alone gonna end up into a big a pile of them bones
Suhail Couto, he did end up a pile of bones... and heroin.
Why not use a tube amp if you want that sound, they make pretty affordable ones. Every bluesy player is obsessed with Fender amps online.

if you would use a pick we would hear how it sounds when a normal player uses it.
It doesnt sound like a tube amp.
lip sync
