    also, you don't get non-calc papers in igcse maths, all papers are with calc

      @@M4D_H4TT3R you got course books for the subjects? If you do you should study from it rather than notes, and you should also do topic wise questions it should help you
      Basically study 1 topic and then do a topic wise question on that chapter

    sciences in igcse are. a bit harder. but that’s bc that’s the only igcse we did and we didn’t have other igcses 😂😂, english is way easier in igcses and then i had arabic stuff so idk but igcse is overall easier to manage even if sciences are harder. (exam questions get repeated a lot too)

      @@soar865 yea I heard the IGCSE was way easier, one of my friends took it and he got a 9, when he was predicted a 6 in the regular GCSE

    I think there is a difference between these two papers this is based on my experience and the differences are the types of question and how they are set and how they are worded it makes a massive difference

    gcse maths- 42 chapters
    igcse maths- 11 chapters

      Ig international math is 36 chapters. Also the portion is almost the same, there's just more per chapter

    in my experience igcses are more difficult ofcourse depending on the subject. i am a big math nerd and i have to say the gcse math exams are way easier than the igcse cie’s. the gap is honestly quite ridiculous.

      AS - Usually taken in year 12, a step above IG or GCSE in difficulty
      A level - Year 13, harder than AS

      AS (Advanced Subsidiary) is just the first half of the A (Advanced) Level course. The second half is sometimes referred to A2. A level usually just refers to the whole 2-year course and AS is the first year of that course. That's why an A Level textbooks will sometimes say "AS and A", because it covers both years.

      Both cambridge and edexcel are accepted world wide. Its up to ur own preference

    Is exam going ahead in may/june for igcse and ial?? , in Bangladesh the covid situation is getting worse the rate is around 30% right now which means out of 100 people 30 are getting affected by covid 19 and also our schools are closed from 26 january. i think pearson edexcel must think about the gloabal situation right now exam need to be cancel.

      @labiqmahir that sounds pretty bad. Last year exams were cancelled in Bangladesh so if the Government could cancel again

      If the situation is very bad then they might lower the grade boundaries. This means that you can get a higher grade by scoring low in the exams. I did my O'level examinations when covid situation was really worse and the exams were really easy. All questions were of basic level and many students got As and A*s.

    So the syllabus conducted by edexel pearson and cambridge international are not different because it’s the same for IGCSE

      Not between the cylabus but the style of exam questions can be diffrent and for example igcse maths only 2 papers and syllabus is the same but questions can be asked differently and there is no non calculator.

      Extremely late, but there is a difference in syllabus! Gcse options are slightly different to igcse options (theres more options in gcse) and what ur learning in each subject can differ slightly, but the difficulty level shouldnt be that different i think
      Another big difference is in igcse they dont check your grammar/spelling in the exams,only in english, while in gcses they often do :)

      CIE O Level is the same as IGCSE it is just branded differently to suit certain locations

    Im studying igcse is it ok to use gcse revision guide of the same exam board like edexcel to revise? Are the papers the same

      There is a lot of crossover but certain things will differ and style of questions are different. Best to use the correct guides/books for the relevant specifications

    In the exam,if i write the unrounded version on the paper,butin the answer box i r9ght the rounded version(1 decimal place for angles),would it be wrong

      You should be okay as long as you tend to go to 3 significant figures, so if the angle is less than 10° you would say 5.43° not 5.4°, so long as the data in the question is to ~3sf too
