Brother, brothers and sisters, we all know the fact. Today we are only 53% Native Goan left living in Goa. Do you want to be ruled by 47% , within 5 years this communities will take over Native Goans. For so long Christians, specially from South Goa have been fighting tooth and nail for good causes and whole of Goa. Most of the Christians Goans living abroad from Africa and in West always maintained status quo, never sold land but last 10 years people are forced because of laws, harrasment by the government and government institutions, therefore their children who are born abroad are scared. The latest is the last nail in the coffin, however our Hindu brothers we will never think differently because of few Worms.

Just would like to briefly touch on Goan catholic identity which is misconstrued as anti-Indian or anti national, but who is truly national is the one who honors the Indian Constitution, The Constitution which gives due and utmost respect to the diversity of Indian republic . If you've read Nehru's book which he penned ( I can't get the name now)while serving jail time, he recounts, while giving one of his speeches to the crowd, and watching the crowd intently, he marvels at the diversity of Indian Union, their hopes and their aspirations and Today we've taken the world in IT and other cutting edge innovation, We owe it to this man.. and the one who does not honor its diversity including, Our Goan Cathodic identity, does not honor Indian Constitution. and does not belong here, He is an alien here. That was one of the reason the great Sardar Vallabhai Patel lifted a ban on a particular organization on two condition, that they adopt the Indian constitution and honor the Indian flag. and if you've noticed in our Goan Catholic Public function, schools, colleges, You will never find us flying any other flag, besides the Indian flag, we do not fly the Portuguese flag, the Vatican flag or a religious flag. It is always, the Indian flag. And our ancestors absorbed what's good in others and adopted as our own and rejected the vices of other human races and this is an observation from an award winning Australian journalist. So Goan Catholic identity is one of the highly evolved Identity, which mesmerizes the world... WE didn't evolve in order to impale the aggressor or whatever, which is NOT Christian.
I really appreciate these Goans and their mindset I am gratefull to you panel members for such enlightment.
