    It's both a credit to your passion and drive and an indictment of modern media that a dude in his basement can produce more quality content in an hour than the big companies can put together in the 6 days between games. Thanks for all you do. I've been a Georgia fan my whole life, but having never played football, I never understood what I was looking at til I started watching your breakdowns and consciously looking for the elements you discuss in the actual games. Been here since 1.5k subs and have enjoyed all of it. Keep it up man.

    Hey Brooks, as a Gamecock diehard and first time seeing your channel, I’m excited to subscribe to your content. I LOVE the theory behind the game and there are no shows on ESPN etc that breakdown the actual Xs and Os. Thanks for the effort you put into this. And maybe you could break a series down from the Gamecocks point of view for me 🙏😁

    Excellent breakdown and take my guy!! Once again as a former player & current coach, I really appreciate the channels like yours that give brilliant insight on the game. Spencer was cooking for sure & had UGA playing back on their hills. BUT!!! Kirby being Kirby made the correct changes in the second half. I loved the different coverage looks & timely pressure UGA came up with.

    If we went into the season knowing Carson beck would have a +70% completion rating and almost 900 yards through 3 games with only 1 pick people would be jumping for joy. Not sure why people hate this man so much. He’s doing a great job especially when your top receiver is out and the running back room needed a Wr to join the backfield to help with explosiveness (before edwards joined back)

    As the title implies the Rattlesnake was more than a hand full in the first half. Then in the second half he encountered the dreaded Georgia RoadRunner. How was he so good early and so bad later? Hope you cover on Tuesday's show!

    Brooks, with the fan base, including myself until now, questioning what our team is doing this year and not thinking we are as good as the past years, I'm going to be disappointed if Georgia fans don't get you to 20K in subscribers soon. I commented on here I think last week, that I will cuss the tv and Carson/Bobo, and then I come on here and watch your breakdowns and see how much I really don't know about football and actually how good we are again this year. Seems like we fix a few areas of mistakes and we should just keep getting better and better every week.

    I'm not quite the student or teacher that you are but this O-line (which is supposed to be our strong suit this year) is struggling so far. Thoughts?? And is Bowers dealing with an injury??

  • @Walkerwood95
    @Walkerwood95 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Love your stuff. But in the first half Bobo was SO predictable. Just because Monken called WR screens on 3rd and 9 too and they scored multiple times doesn’t mean we can’t get mad at Bobo for calling a WR screen on 3rd and 9 when it was obvious what we were going to call based on our personnel and formation on every 3rd down in the first half. Never had that level of predictability consistently with Monken and that’s why those 3rd and 9 WR screen calls work with Monken and not Bobo. Even the casuals around me in the crowd started correctly guessing our play calls in the first half.
    Also wish you had hit on Beck not seeing the wide open Marcus Rosemy in the second quarter on the trick play and still overthrowing Bowers on his intermediate. It would have been an easy TD. Could have floated a duck to number 1 and scored. They totally bit on the fake and left Marcus wide open down field.

  • @tonystone3890
    @tonystone3890 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hey Brooke, what does it mean when someone says a Quarterback needs to know his checks? What are they talking about?

    • @TheFilmGuyNetwork
      @TheFilmGuyNetwork  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      At the line of scrimmage, most game plans have built in checks. Meaning we call one play, but if the defense gives us a certain look, we want to check out of that play and into a better play.
      Now, there's also checkdowns, which can be referred to as checks. These are routes built into the concepts or play design that give the QB an immediate answer to pressure or blitz. It's why you might hear people refer to knowing your checks against blitz.
