I think that’s the first time the word “Devil” has ever been heard in Joel Osteen’s church. And why does Joel never talk about “Jesus and Repentance?” I’m a sinner and I don’t need a life coach. It’s not about “prosperity”. It’s about giving your life to Jesus, repenting of your sins, and living your life for him. God bless you all.
Yeah good thing Kanye had mentioned about constant repentance. It seems like it's a very foreign concept in that church.
He (Joel) certainly does mention the devil. I listened to his service live-streamed last week, and he gave an altar call, calling people to repent of their sins. So much of what Christians accuse him of is such rubbish.

I'm not trying to be nosey but where are you from? There's a rehabilitation center in Lenoir NC and it's all biblical based. They don't charge tens of thousands of dollars for treatment either. That was just proof, void cups, not filled with the Living Spirit of Christ, will easily be fooled and follow the father of lies, because their void cores will be filled by the father they know. Just because we have a good form of life, a temporary life form, from the formless pit. Doesn't mean our inner core has a temporary infilling from the void pit. Thus our void core has to find the True Son, to lead us to the True Father to be Filled with the Living Waters to be saved from the 2nd death, returning back to the pit. In Genesis 1, the Living God Head, commanded the Body of Adam (who was created in the image of God's Body (the female portion of God, who is (1) with the True God Head !!! Thus Man's first commandment, with his new clean slate form, from the bottomless destructive pit of death, was told to obey, was to go out and be fruitful and multiply === (((this does not mean having physical births))) == but to go out and be fruitful and multiply = OF GOOD THOUGHTS AND DESIRES; BECAUSE GOODNESS WAS JUST BROUGHT TO BRING A GOOD FORM OF LIFE. So God wanted mankind to be fruitful and multiply good thoughts and desires, so goodness would subdue the evil of this earth. But by Genesis 6, mankind had been fruitful and multiplied the void core of this earth, the father of lies, the sins and evil of this world had overcome the surface of the earth instead. Mankind is the dust of this dry body earth, of this father of lies kingdom. Multiplied all evil thoughts and desires, imaginable to man. And now is the same time of Noah again. As well the time of Lot again. and SADLY The time of Babel again. The worst thing you can do is create a counterfeit who thinks they are saved. They are much more damaging to the Kingdom than any atheist could dream of being.

@BibleTalk101 not at all, I'm just saying Joel can use our prayers too. I think us Christians have become more accusers than Satan himself instead of being like Jesus. Our first reaction should be intercession, not because I hear someone slander a person I immediately become part and parcel of the slander.
I have Faith that God can speak to Joel and move him in a radical way, that He can have mercy upon the man. Let God speak to US about Joel Osteen the same way he would speak to Jesus about men, about the Pharisees, in fact Jesus was open to anyone who would humble themselves when they sought him out including a Pharisee.
I think as the church we have spent more time fault finding and calling out pastors than actually interceedig for these people. Does the bible talk about false teachers yes it does, but it also says God will show mercy to whom He chooses to show mercy. But God also expects us to ask Him to show mercy.
Since we know the gravity of misleading the flock we must be on our knees interceedig for that church and its leader, we must ask God to save some even there. We know Joel faces a higher penalty, we must ask God to open his eyes.
I'm just saying the church shouldn't be stiff necked in terms of where we dont want to look at another way and ask God to intervene we only want to cast stones. I'm saying let's be more Christ like and intercede first.

He actually did after his conversion. It's called Placerita Bible Church. But if you are talking about churches that can hold the "Sunday Service" concerts there is a Baptist church in Chicago he was at. He goes wherever he's invited. Most of them unfortunately will probably be prosperity churches. Even before his conversion he was friends with a prosperity preacher for years and he didn't help him at all spiritually it seems. It's these younger prosperity preachers who attract celebrities like Chris Pratt and Justin Bieber and we'll probably hear of more and more in the near future. I hope Kanye is still meeting weekly with the pastor of Placerita Bible Church and that he will see that the prosperity message doesn't line up with scripture. I've noticed what these prosperity preachers do is cite old testament examples of rich people like Abraham but completely ignore all the examples in the new testament excluding Jesus who were poor from John the Baptist to the apostles and other believers - it was the norm and God commanded them to be content with what they have. They want the New Testament faith on the inside but Old Testament Abrahamic lifestyle on the outside.

Why doesn't he have to explain why he said that in August 2103 and now is saying he's only a new convert 6 months old. What you call "judging" is bringing up disturbing things Kanye has said and done. He has been advised by doctrinally sound pastors to NOT put himself on a public platform but instead be discipled. Kane is out there saying he's been told T.D. Jakes isn't saved , and what he teaches isn't pure. Kanye didn't like being told that. Kanye also doesn't like being told Mormons have an extra book and Catholics do this. To Kanye " the gospel is Jesus died for our sins" and Christians shouldn't make it so hard.

I was looking for a comment like this. Joel osteen really concerns me. Mega churches concern me. Joel only teaches prosperity. “Name it, claim it”. It’s leading people in the wrong direction. You can find lots of research on Joel’s deceptive way of preaching. Everyone should pray for discernment when listening to any mega church preacher. God bless you.

Titus I believe in prayers and the Bible tells us to pray for our leaders, so instead of being concern about them, I’ll pray for them that God reveals himself to them and convict their hearts.
So you must have listen to every single message JO has preached? Including the time he ministered to ppl individually or before he took over the church? ( preaching is not only from a pulpeit in church) If you haven't then your statement is false. If you are making false statement then you are lying. If you are lying you are deceiving ppl. So how are you any different than any deceivers out there or the devil? People love to judge out of their own wisdom rather than God's wisdom. My take on it people love to judge base on their insecuriry rather than the security one's have in Christ.

Personally I be very careful of what i listen to with fear of being deceived. If something doesn't seem right I dont question it or make excuses I just dont go near it.

Joel Osteen is the preacher that would save himself first before he saves his flock. Prosperity is more important than the poorest sheep.

There are many great Scholars and preachers and Prophets of Old Testament and New Testament and all that none of them went to Seminary School. If God calls you to be a preacher you're going to be a preacher whether you have school or not. It's the work of the Holy Spirit what did you do speak the truth of what the Bible says. In the holy spirit gives you the understanding of what the Bible says and allows you to make great understanding of the Bible to your sheep.

Madison we got this we can do it. I'm like you I get nervous and all right before I hear the Holy Spirit tell me to pray for someone. The other day I was in a Publix grocery store in FL and I heard the spirit tell me to pray for a man who kept coughing. He was full among tattoos and in his late 40s looked like a rough guy. I ignore the spirit and after several more times of running into the guy I knew I had to answer God. So I went up to him and said "hey I heard you coughing are you alright?" He proceeded to tell me he has had a dry heave for 6 years and lots of medical problems. After he finished telling me I asked if I could pray, he proceeded to walk away and said "ok I guess" I said "can I pray for you now, here" and he said "uh I guess sure, why?" And the spirit took over me man and I said "cause God will heal you" and he looked stunned and said "really? Ok" so I prayed and the spirit flowed and I touched his shoulders and back and when i was done he was stunned. He said "woah!, I felt something. I'm freaked out man, did you play a trick on me. When you touched me in felt something like a great peace come over me. I could just go home and take a nap. I'm going to tell my mom about this" and then we talked about life and his catholic upbringing and I told him about my Christian church and invited him. He thanked me and walked away healed. It was amazing. And he was still in shock as we left one another.
You can do this just get super prayed up and go listen for God.

I started drinking when I was 16. I would
drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and
I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when
I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out
with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and
my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always
trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was.
So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I
was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time.
I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t
take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a
presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike
anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when
I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty
much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got
arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was
expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt
afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that
he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers
began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something.
It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the
bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they
were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself
and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and
how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from
them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever
since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a
while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt
like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt
more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on
the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five
years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was
weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside
of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please
save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up
the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid
again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at
my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at
myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy
spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It
was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an
inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s
done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed
God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have
changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you
have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can.
My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away
during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen
and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked
in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away
from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything
changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and
believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but
not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased
not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also.
Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with
God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will
know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!
Just pray for the man, that's all.

From signs in the heavens (blood moons and solar eclipses) to Israel being recognised once again as a Nation to the countless testimonies from sound, sane, credible people claiming to have received visions and dreams. It really is more than just the same old evil. Christians are being persecuted more harshly on a wider scale much like in early times (and mark my words it is coming to your town too). We here in the states still are fortunate enough to have a lot of freedom still but that future is not secure. Had Hilary taken office the Iran deal would've never been torn up and I am positive attacks on our homeland would've taken place. Eventually it will. Yet we who believe are without fear because our Lord has assured us victory. If we believe in Him we believe in what He says no? He did say only the Father knows the day and the hour but we would see things happening that would tell us when He is near. I am just a layman. Just a Bible student who believes in God and loves Jesus for all He has done. So when I hear the many scholars all saying pretty much the same thing, that we are truly in the last days, I can be grateful and hopeful that it will be in my lifetime. Peace be with you
