- Rescheduled from yesterday, this is the live session where I'll be painting the apple in a single session, pulling together the value study, local colour mixing and colours for light and shadow.

One of the greatest painting learning videos I've seen, ty Paul.
My understanding is that bias refers to the hue that the paint leans towards when you open it up with white. For example, ivory black has a hue of black in mass tone out of the tube, but becomes blue as you add white.
Really good stuff. Thankyou Paul.
Thank you Paul. I am learning so much from this series
Thanks for making this. Helping me understand color.
Can't wait to start my apple today. Ur apple had spots of green but was mostly a red apple. My apple is a little different, mines a mix of green & red. My apple is mostly red but mine has green areas over it in green. I did have fun with the the toilet paper roll, it's not as serious , it's for practicing croma,,value, background,, little bit of mixing & it's basically practicing for substituting.subjects. I'm actually gonna use these tool, and add to my tool box. I thought this great & is such a good practicing tool, if u don't mind I'm gonna steal it lol.. It reminds me of the practice of painting in Planes. I made fake fruit with molding clay but they're made with planes/flat planed surface instead of making them round. How did my toilet paper roll come out for my so far? Threw in a background and table so i covered the canvas. U need to get some color around the subject so not distracted by the color values. Thanks for the videos & live streams theyre really good... Have great day my friend.👏
Great watching late looking for to watching to the demo I have put on my studio wall some of your value tips you gas
thank you for sharing!
Just had a go with you, it’s not as good as yours but the improvement in my painting is amazing, thank you xx
Brilliant to hear Susan, thanks!
Hi, great video. Where can I get the 'Value Scale"? Couldn't find a link. Thanks
What edition of the Munsell book did those color samples come from?
how can i get access to the tool measuring values in digital photos?
I use the LAB sliders in photoshop. But there's a great tool here you use too:
micheleclamp.com/ChromaMagic/
It even gives you the hue and chroma in Munsell too!
🙏👏👏👏👏
George (Macca) Macauley. Hello from Australia.
With what did you wet the canvas first?
Bango is having a cat nap
55:44 "Area of highest chroma is in the light; not in the half tone... "
Thank you, master Paul.

Muddy = low value, low chroma
Chalky = high value, low chroma
The color technique is solid. The discussion is a bit too complicated with the visual. Definitely worth giving time to this and other videos to understand Hue, Value and Chroma (Intensity as I call it.) Thanks Paul.
⏰ It starts at 10:00 in ⏰
I should have read your post before i sat there for 10 minutes starring at the monitor without anything happens.
How do you fix your canvas to the board please 🙏
🙏👏👏👏👏……..
