The actor for Mihawk said that when he first picked up the sword (Yoru), his whole arm started shaking. He had to train and train so that it looked light. Strength training and momentum training.
It seems like most of the actors in this show practiced in special ways and it's amazing to see! Mihawk is an amazing casting. Perfect live action cast for him! And Garp...and Buggy...and a lot of the characters! Thanks for joining us !
When I saw live action Mihawk I was like: “😳 M-Mihawk?! 😱 MIHAWK?!!!!!!” Tears of liquid joy! It’s like he jumped straight out of the anime! The actor killed it with his role! They all have!
Mihawk and his actor it's one godly handsome cutie..I'm just saying. One of the best looking ever in live-action series/and movies...Lol...Anyways,a nicely decent reaction.Credits 👌👍🌈💎
This moment with Zoro and Mihawk's first duel shows that they The Straw Hat pirates are not invincible, and there are many more people who are not "a" problem, but THE problem
Baratie is based on Louisiana, which was a Frech & Spanish territory. It's name, though in French, deribes from Barataria, an island in the Spanish famous novel of Don Quixote :)
Loved watching Joe & Mike react for the first time while Mikey & Eddie smile like kids. Best episode so far (slightly over episode two), at least until the next one. Favorite part is Mihawk, especially the duel between Mihawk & Zoro (so good). Honorable mention: Luffy's "Never!" & the straw hat crew's incompetence (except for Nami) at the beginning, Garp's flinging the cannonball, the intro of Zeff & Sanji, and Zoro & Nami's drinking game. Also really enjoyed Usopp in this episode. Can't say I missed getting a lot of Don Krieg (I'm currently in the Arlong Park arc in the anime). Looking forward to more. Take care.
To add to what that discussion was about honor with zoro, the luffy part that they included, Luffy, instead of joining in or over reacting and attacking Mihawk, he took the L like a man and accepted defeat. That is even more honorable watching your friend 'die' and not losing your cool. They don't know if he's okay, and for all they know, he just got cut in half. Mihawk noticed that, as well. Just this whole scene was a true testament to the honor they put in their side-stories/battles. Luffy trusted in his comrade to carry the victory and he didn't lose his mind and attack senselessly. That, and the hat. And Mihawk knows Luffy's name. Just in case that isn't something that's clear by the next episode that you guys have watched and released, that part is also relevant.
The one piece live action just gave Don Krieg the respect he deserves. Personally, I don't like Don krieg and he's one of the most forgettable villain in one piece. This series also just taught me how to pronounce Baratie lmaooo. Also, you can spot Mihawk's raft at the opening scene where they showed the ships before they proceed to Roger's execution. The actors of Mihawk, Sanji, and Zeff are the best choice for this live action, they gave the characters justice...
The actors really do give the characters justice! Don Krieg and his fleet being wrecked was something we forgot we needed!!! Also the mihawk bit is interesting we gotta go recheck it
ive seen tons of non one piece folks reacting to the live action and only one group ever picked up on that or mention it. i feel its more of an easter egg line than anything else.
One of my fave things , besides jut the show in general, is how the characters with bountys interact with thier wanted posters, while showing who they are as characters.
31:45 I saw something about it being a pun, since they are called Den Den Mushi, the Japanese symbol for Den can be electronic or communication or snail.
i wish the guy on the far left could hold in his enthusiasm a little more because its starting to spoil things for the other two. they never got a chance to figure out what is what and who is what because the gestures and sounds made alone is spoiling parts of the plot and we dont get their true reaction. i know as watchers of one piece, we get very excited when someone new gets to join in on our journey but i really want to see more ecstatic reactions without spoilers happening. keep up the great work tho. i do enjoy the episodes on here.
I mean, it was really only inviting the strong pirates, not really counting their crew, and looking at what Mihawk did to that fleet while killing time and people, he was casual about it.
Well they really wanted the most dangerous among the 7. Or the wild cats, as Mihawk himself. For example he couldn’t never be a Yonko, because he doesn't have any crew nor territories nor influence.
really the only criticism I have is saying Mihawk is the strongest Warlord. We dont know but man just saying that when Doflamingo exists feels like a strong choice
As a non-anime watcher --- I find it wild how much controversy there is around Mihawk if you browse through people talking about him. He's renown as the world's greatest swordsman... he's challenged and been challenged likely hundreds of times. He's fought numerous times with Shanks...... and never has backup. *He does not have A SINGLE SCAR ON HIS BODY.* He's has to be up near the very top, if not the.
How come Americans are so so bad in the pronunciation of other languages. I don't speak Japanese but the way they said Baratie, woha, come on, that was terrible, both versions.
@@kinginamo000One of them immediately knew that Mihawk was in combat with Don Krieg. Considering that this is a live action exclusive change and there's realistically no way for even somebody familiar with the anime (like myself) to guess that's what's going on, the guy states it up front with some pretty incontrovertible authority. Side note: Armchair spoilers are a pet peeve. I felt sympathy for the other two fellows who hadn't seen the episode yet.
If you've watched one piece you know that Mihawk kills Don Kriegs armada and this is that exact moment. It's not hard to infer this is that exact scene as it happens during Baratie arc :) Seems very common sense to us anime and Manga fans The other stuff tho we will relax on being hype to spoil things for the new guys
@@732ReviewCrew Mihawk is nowhere near Baratie, Don Krieg hasn't appeared yet, and there's simply nothing to suggest exactly who Mihawk is fighting, not least because he's going toe-to-toe with random scrubs-again, on some unknown _beach_ nowhere near Baratie. Stating outright that it's Don Krieg's fleet is strikingly prescient. What leads to this conclusion? It inherently assumes Don Krieg won't be fighting Luffy, which is automatically a huge leap. I think it would have been better to simply say he'd heard about it or seen the clip in advance.
1098 chapters and it's just now possible that Zoro might (might) be able to beat Mihawk. I mean Mihawk used to duel Shanks to a draw, so he's definitely at Yonko level and though we haven't seen it he obviously has conqueror's haki. Though Zoro is under Luffy, at this point Luffy might be well above Yonko level. He's practically a God and he already beat the one that was previously considered the strongest. I mean he just beat the crap out of an Admiral like it was nothing and it only took him like one chapter to do it. If that's true, it might put Zoro and Mihawk at about the same place.

I would say that light weight stunt swords are a thing for that exact purpose, but I respect this way so much more.

The fact that Ussop could read the name of Baratie from like a mile away is a super overlooked point by a lot of reactions.

We fully expected Young Luffy to have been tossed or smacked around

Luffy has the same power as the mermaid princes. Thats why he can recruit people with one look
Garp's upbringing was tough, which is why his three grandchildren became great people
mihawk recognized the hat that's why he did not capture luffy in baratie
