Tahoe National Forest | hiking best hidden waterfalls in northern California | East Fork Falls

- November 2020. One of the most stunning hidden waterfalls in northern California is East Fork Falls on the East Fork of the North Fork of the North Fork American River (EFNFNFAR for short). It is a personal favorite. Near Emigrant Gap, California, Tahoe National Forest. It is an adventure to get there with a steep descent through forest and river crossings as well. And when you arrive, it is just magical. A beautiful 32 ft. waterfall dropping into a gorgeous emerald green pool surrounded by massive cliffs. It is truly amazing.

Poor Squawk you will have his head off one day 🤪😂 That was a giant pine cone at 1:00 incredible!😳 Good thing there wasn’t water around that fallen tree at 1:35 😉 but you are pretty good walking in that frozen water hope you had some dry shoes 👟 and socks 🧦 to change yourself.

That was a Squawk homerun! I love the first snow too. Great to see you were careful on that slippery bridge. The water must have been really cold. That was a beautiful waterfall, and it looks like Squawk liked it too. The incline looked really steep on the way back. Cool adventure Leon! 👍

Dang man! Wading through that water and hiking out with wet boots? That’s legit. Always impressive the hikes and trails you find. The payoff is always worth it 🤙. That waterfall was beautiful and the cliff wall was cool.

That was nuts! I get the sense a lot of these waterfalls you go to are off trail and see little traffic. You're almost the Captain Kirk of hikers....going boldly where no man has gone before!

Absolutely amazing waterfall. Easy to see why it's one of your favorites. I visited a waterfall today. Had a bit more snow but not nearly as difficult to get to the falls. Glad I didn't have any water crossings to do since the temperature was about +2F! Hope to have the vid up later this week. Thanks, as always, for sharing your adventure with us.
