I've seen several videos installing the Mitchell overdrive. When you remove the rear-end, that seems like the idéal time to remove and restire everything onthat rear axel. Your all over it! Ya got'r done.😊

where did all the metal go from the nut hitting the ring gear? you may have more trouble

The nut didn’t hit ring gear but touches the smooth part of carrier,no worry there
