Hi , with myself I never learned to read music , I do how ever wish I'd started to learn to read , my advise to any student musician to go down the route of reading.
I just play by ear only relying on the instincts you learn on the slide through practise . I've played and sat in with bands on tunes ive never ever played before some I'd never ever heard of . We pick things up pretty quick although I definetly didnt feel confortable playing with a band on a tune if never ever heard before. This is the reason I'd advise to learn to read amd yes maybe I should of taken my own advise . One thing wnt change and that is it is what it is . I do enjoy the teaching uploads and still learn from them now , as musicians we never stop learning , keep up the good work 👍

Can´t tell how you figure a specific chord from just one note

It's mostly just trial and error. The more songs you learn (by ear) the better you will become at predicting the chords. Sometimes you'll still get it wrong though. :)
