You unintentionally showed me what I needed. My problem was every time I shift-tab away from DOS BOX, I couldn't get it to go fullscreen again. But seeing the options made me realize I have to hit alt-Enter. Thanks my dude!
thanks a lot! i did this : fullscreen=false fulldouble=false fullresolution=1366x768 windowresolution=1366x768 output=overlay so that i can run chrome and other apps at the same time
Brilliant, had almost given up after tinkering the configuration file with no success. Your fix was so easy. While I'm here for anyone who bothers to read. If you want a C: prompt instead of the default Z: add the following to the end of your configuration (options) file on two separate lines: mount C C:\GAMES C: Assuming you have created a GAMES directory on your C: Drive to store and run your applications, you can call it what you like but the names must match. You internal commands still reside on drive Z:
Thank you for posting. Your solution worked perfectly. For some reason Alt+Enter wasn't working. It would go full screen and then immediately minimize. I couldn't figure it out. All the best.
I made my DOS box fullscreen by seeing setting from some other source. Then I wanted to revert it back but forgot the initial settings. Thanks for your video. I used your video to revert back to original settings :D
Thank you so much! This worked perfectly for getting old text based games to fullscreen and fully scaled so it's legible. Alt-Enter didn't work at all for a game with 80-column resolution
The flippant comments below are obviously from those who have not experienced the latest update of Windows 10, which put Dosbox into a tiny screen in the lefthand corner of the display. Press Alt-Enter, and it went away completely. The fix in this video has ended a couple of months' search for a way to get it back to fullscreen. My sincere thanks to the tech who created it; I can use Dosbox again.
This fixed a problem I had where it would not stretch to full screen,I could get into full screen but it would be small surrounded by black, thanks friend (:
Thanks a lot dude, worked as expected for me. Also is there a way to program it to open by default in a windowed mode & later click on maximize to enter full screen mode. For now what I do for switching from this default full screen back to windowed mode is press Alt+Enter.
gracias me sirvio ya se que con ALT+ENTER se podia pero necesitaba grabar y no se porque el programa no me tomaba el fullscreen ahora si,gracias!! me falta solucionar el tema de los Fraps (creo) y la calidad
Thanks a lot for providing such useful tips. i am also looking out for a solution to one problem: in one FoxProX program, i set the page length of the printer to 36 lines through DOS escape sequence (for printing vouchers). it works in DOS mode in earlier Windows but not through DosBox in Windows 7 & above. the printer seems to just ignore the escape sequence & treats the page length as 72 lines only. is there any settings for printers to accept DOS escape sequence? Thanks in advance.
You can set scaling settings in the DOSBox.conf file to make it look better on newer monitors, i use a crt as my main monitor for FPS gaming so it doesnt look too bad on my screen Samoh Kul
I was like following along and when it went fullscreen - I was like...umm how do I go back though? haha and then he thankfully said "just write exit" :)
