  • As I was cycling around Bukit Batok, I happened to pass by Tengah new town, an upcoming housing estate slated to be ready sometime late 2023/early 2024. While much of the neighborhood is still under construction, I decided to explore some of its newly accessible completed streets and apartment blocks. Enjoy!

In 2020 i almost applied bto in tengah. Im so glad i did not and opted resale. Fast forward to today, i heard and seen so many photos of issues for tengah bto, like the leaking central airconditioning system, how its not functional, how the rushing out backlogs of bto from covid are showing the aftermath of poor workmanship. I used to live very near this tengah when it was just a field with a haunting dark small road leading deeper into it. Its a very surreal feeling to connect that memory to what im seeing in the clip now. Thank you for the video.

Those who applied successfully will be glad that they did do esp after seeing their home values increased in 10yrs.
Things that r new surely have their own set of issues. What is most impt is HDB quickly ironed out those issues.
You will understand what I mean in 10yrs times.

@@andersneo4942 exactly. In 10 years, got new school, own mrt(JR Line), and most likely new malls and other amenities as well. Always will have teething issues de. In fact, i'm thinking of looking there in 5 years(or less, when I qualify)

Buying resale is a bad idea unless u need a home urgently. BTO defects are covered under Warranty and BTO have a fresh 99 year lease. There is unlimited potential to this BTO project which not many have the foresight to understand. Plus why would i take resale when i can complete Full home payments as soon as I get the keys?
Resale also is bad because high possibility of getting inconsiderate neighbors who were there before you and thus may not be willing to change their ways. At least BTO, you can set the baseline and built good relationships and trust from the start. What i can say is that dont take the first few tengah projects. I took Park Glen and got the highest floor. Most likely they will have addressed the issues of Early tengah projects

The car-lite is only for for the town central as the cars will be parked underground. above ground for community amenities

Does anyone know if the centralised cooling system is worth applying for? Heard many ppl’s reviews that it’s a bad technology with water leaking & being not cooling (cold), that’s really a stressed😅😂

The road are huge. I know it not like the roads of Amsterdam,Rotterdam or even Nuremberg but compare those road. Singapore roads are getting bigger and wider for cars. Building an mrt viaduct on top does not help in walking or cycling safely below
