Beanie Boo Cashmere - Update From The Post

- About 6 days ago, I found a Cashmere with purple sparkly eyes on eBay and posted the photos on my community page. When I paid attention to the description and photos on the listing, I found something a little odd about this sparkly-eyed cashmere. It can’t be, right? Because the solid-eye version of Cashmere was retired in 2013, I thought Ty never upgraded solid-eye Cashmere into the sparkly-eye version, and on top of that, she has an Italian tush tag, the year is 2012, and she has Tabitha's heart tag! However… There are many unofficially announced sparkly eye versions of the solid eye beanie boos. I don’t know what to think. However, Cashmere with sparkly eyes was one of my dream cat beanie boos, and I was always wondering what if she had sparkly eyes... That motivated me to buy it! Fake or real, it doesn’t matter! She is officially in my Rare Beanie Boo collection!

Ok, here is my theory. Ty was designing a beanie boo to fit the name Tabitha and this is what they came up with at first. Then they decided to make Tabitha a tabby cat and this beanie boo ended up being scrapped and now a prototype. That would explain why it says Tabitha on the tag. I do not think this beanie boo is meant to be Cashmere, but the original Tabitha. I also do not believe she is fake because it had a store label on it, I know some stores do sell fake bb’s but I don’t think this is the case for this one! Fantastic find! She is so cute🥰
Edit: I just looked at the video again and it is totally real because fakes do not have @Ty inc on the tag because they could get copyrighted by TY then❤️

I have some suspicion that this is fake. I’ve done a lot of research and I think this one is fake. Here’s why.
-The tush tag and hang tag do not match up. Tabitha did NOT exist in 2012, so it’s not possible that this was an error tag. You could argue that this is a prototype tag, but nothing about this hang tag screams prototype. ESPECIALLY the price tag on the back of it.
-The countries of the hang and tush tag don’t match up. That tush tag is not an American one, and never was. HOWEVER. The hang tag appears to have the same qualities as an American hang tag. The other countries’ beanie boo hang tags all look different from this. I have a couple beanie boos that have non-American hang tags, and certainly they look different.
-If this was a prototype, it would definitely look different, have a different hang tag and stuff. Or no hang tag at all. If this was an oddity Cashmere, I believe the tush and hang tag dates and countries would actually match up.
So, in conclusion, I think someone possibly made a fake Cashmere, retagged a Tabitha tag to it, and sewed a random tush tag onto it. Whatever it is, I don’t think it’s a real TY beanie boo.
I absolutely agree with you! Great job!!!👍It's very hard to show the tush tag material. It's very stiff and almost feels like plastic or something. Yes, and Tabitha's tag is the universal (USA) version with a local store sticker on it, and Tush's tag is "Italy". They don't match up! 🧐I knew this one was something other than genuine cashmere, but I just bought it because, even though it's fake, fake cashmere is somewhat rare. She is in my fake-boo collection!😊
