This is my favorite Jinjer track. Really great band that thinks outside the box. The technique at around the 5 minute mark (in the video not the song) is called tapping. At about the 7:15 mark that technique was a bend. These are both very common things in metal music.
When i heard the song the first time, i was just overwhelmed with it. I needed a few listens to it ( like with almost all songs of them.) to get into it, now i love the song. I really love that band for their complexcity.
@andrebrodbeck3883 Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Some don't hit the right way at right, but after repeated listening, bayou start to appreciate the nuance to them. I Speak Astronamy was one of them; now its one of my favourites.
Another great reaction. I like old, new, and new playing old. Just like listening to any other band that has been at it for more than a few albums, they are going to evolve and the music from the different eras is going to speak to you differently. Slipknot from early 2000's is a different feeling today than when I was listening to it then and the music they do more recently is different too. Still love them, just changes as we all age.
If I didn't know better on how music videos are shot I would almost expect that road case she is crawling on to just burst into flames at some point. She uses proper platforms now but that road case is what she used to use to step up on. I've used cases like that. I would never think of standing on one especially if it's empty. Of course I can be a bit of clutz so that's probably it. This is something like 6 years between the music video and the live so what I was saying about Tatiana's voice vintages applies. One is the 2015/16 vintage and the other 2021 with more of a scream inside the growl.
I know, right ? ;) Wait till it sinks in good after a while, an awesome piece. Btw I didn't catch the Melbourne performance before, they've done a ton of these and also I admit I've grown a bit wary of their live's cause I've heard a share of bad takes, but they killed it here all right. One thing that came to me while watching them, this one particularly must be a challenge to play live, a nice workout with no time to rest. 🤪
Ive think all their live video ive watch have been good. There was one from wacken that wasn't but it was explained that they were having sound issues at the time, which made sense as another song from that live performance was quality!

This track is so intense it feels like it's biting your face off, and I absolutely love it. 🐕🦺🤘
If Tatiana says so... you better obey! ^^
Under the Dome drum playthrough is good
