Beautiful build so far. Regarding the Tamiya wash and specifically with Bandai plastic. Most problems come from people using it on the raw plastic, and or letting too much of the stuff pool and sit. Clean it up fast enough and you shouldn't have any issues. I have read that compared to other brands, Bandai don't go through a 'baking' (?) process with their plastics. I don't know what it is, but I'm sure they have their reasons.
Great video. I'm going back and watching your Bandai videos preparing for a Y wing I am going to build with LEDs and photo etch. It may just be me, but the chipping with masking fluid looks more precise and realistic in this video compared to your older Bandai videos. I was wondering if you even felt this way. I thought maybe it was the toothpick application. I like the weathering pencils on tis one also. I have some watercolor pencils that I may try on my build.
I did also like the chipping on the snowspeeder better than some of my previous builds. I think it's just because of more experience now though. I have a better idea of how to make it look good more than I did earlier. Practice makes perfect, right.
The photo etch kit includes a canopy to replace the one included with the model. Did you not like that option, or was the Bandai canopy the better option?
This kit is so cheap. I've never bought a bandai model but stuff snapping together at that price point and detail level is something model plane guys just don't have...
They really do make beautifully detailed ships. The ease of putting them together and how nicely they fit is really great. I wouldn't exactly call them a snap kit like other model kits, but they fit so perfectly that you really don't need glue, although often times, especially with smaller pieces, I do glue them together, which has been show often in my videos. They aren't exactly the cheapest kits, but so nice. Just wish some were a little bit bigger of a scale as well. Like this snowspeeder.
Beautiful work Chris. Excited for part III.
Chris - thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see Part 3. Very inspiring!
Amazing work! Thanks for sharing!
Looking GOOD!! I really like the weathering.
It's looking great so far, Chris. I'm looking forward to the next one
Les effets lumineux sont juste bluffant. Bravo

Awesome i like it.
I'm curious of you base you do it in snow so Hoth ?
I will do the base next episode

The photo etch canopy is very flimsy. The kit canopy is nicely detailed. I will add the little etch details on the underside however.
Wahnsinn ❤
Great work as always. What camera are you using to film?
Just my Samsung S22 in 4k. I was surprised at how well it shot footage, and close up.
Great job🎉🎉
How do you make your Tamiya washes?
I just put a bit of paint on a paint tray and add water a bit at a time with the brush and mix till I get the consistency I want.
@@modelsbychris nice thanks
@seanrobert2227 I've shown in past videos. I should probably show again in another one.
Imagine if Bandai had BSG rights.
That would be sweet
maybe get a new gren mat for xmas
😅

Aren’t you supposed to start with part IV which would make those part V? 😂
