      Tbh I wanted to hear more from the girls of the 2012 Annie Broadway. Most of the older ladies from the 1st generation were talking more in the whole video.

    Was anyone else getting very annoyed that the older Annies seemed to think they were almost better than the 2012 cast and not letting them talk.

      The older ones are in another documentary and a lot of them are still butthurt about losing their roles as they matured. No surprise that they were dominating the conversation.

      They are in their 50s. Nostalgia feels more powerful the older you get so I think it makes sense they’d be a little more aggressively chatty. Personally I think it’s a little more interesting to hear the older cast talk about their experiences simply because times were so very different back during their productions.

    Some of the older ladies were in another documentary. It was very odd the way that some of them couldn’t accept that they were STILL no longer famous, and were trying to hold onto it so hard that it was having a detrimental effect on their lives. The younger ones seem to have it together.

    • @EastSide-qc5oy
      @EastSide-qc5oy ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it’s only natural that at least some of those ladies had that experience. To go thru such a thrilling high at an age when you’re still developing mentally, emotionally, and physically and to never reach it again, that’s bound to impact their later years on some level. We’ve learned a lot in more recent years about how much kids can be impacted by working in show business. As for the younger girls, they are still fairly young and we don’t know what they’re going thru. Hopefully they’re fine and well adjusted, but also keep in mind as show biz kids, especially in more modern times, they learn early on how to present themselves in a poised and professional manner even if not all is well in the moment.

    This is very interesting and to learn from professionals who were child actors on Broadway/Regional theaters. I am an aspiring writer. I am also a child wrangler and stagehand in a regional theater company in NJ Annie and Matilda. I am now a registrant for the child guardian union in New York. There were almost 15 children or more in each show. It's a lot of work and exhausting when you are outnumbered, but rewarding no matter what happens. The parents are also wonderful and helpful backstage. Many of the kids, we started out in community theater. The kids (many are locals) are amazing and have grown attached. They always ask me where I am if I am not working a show. We hang out, take care of problems, play games, decorate the dressing rooms, and keep in touch. Wonderful experiences that you will always remember. You definitely feel like you are part of the show.
    I also got to work with Bill Berloni's dogs and meet him. Marti was in our community theater and regional production of Annie where Andrea McArdle was Ms. Hannigan. Also the Hounds for a community theater production of A Christmas Story. One of his trainers with who I did the regional production was also our Lilly St. Regis.
