    Nice Video,, how much grass hay is left behind in the Netting Wrap process when you stop and start going again,, would like to see that part of it,, notice there is quite a bit being left behind on the field

    • @paullee7467
      @paullee7467 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm not seeing much left behind, even with a separate raking process more than you would think it's left behind by the baler. For the time and money saved in the singular pass it more than makes up for any hay you leave behind.

    quite a bit of greener moist hay underneath. not concerned about it being too wet? seems like a lot of messing around just to risk worse hay quality...

    • @paullee7467
      @paullee7467 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It doesn't look green (not dry) to me just less bleached out. Probably dries out OK in Texas but I would prefer to tedd it at least a day before I bale it.

    • @dillonjohn3976
      @dillonjohn3976 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends on where you are from low humidity will dry hay in no time and stay green but higher humidity areas have e Tedd there hay and it all gets sun bleached

    Likely 175-200 hp can do it, however I'd sure like to see that driveshaft, and hoses and wires heading up to the tractor, must be a circus to run for 6-8 hours, 115 hp would have it's hands full in any hills, I wonder how it performed over 100 hrs, be nice to see from other angles. Likely be nicer if it were a square baler.

    What size tractor do you have pulling that? How man hydraulic scv valves do you need? I like this set up.

    • @Codymf67
      @Codymf67  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm using a 135 engine horsepower tractor but you only need a 90 or 100. It only takes two remotes. The baler gate is on one by itself. There is an electronic valve to switch from the baler pickup reel then to the Rake lift or to the Rake fold. All of those are on the second remote.

    • @justinjohnston8704
      @justinjohnston8704 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @bunnywarren
      @bunnywarren 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It the plant was cut whilst still green and growing then I would call it hay. If it came after the plant had died then I would call it straw.

    • @Rustaholic777
      @Rustaholic777 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It looks more brown than green to me. The green we can see is the new growth that is under the straw.

    • @johnwallace7465
      @johnwallace7465 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Straw is what's left behind after you Run the Oats through a Combine and then bale it up. Looks like they mowed the oats with a hay mower so it would be Oat hay.
