Was finally able to walk through this at the 2023 overland expo, well the “standard “ model not the ROA model. These thing is so solid in comparison to other high end units. The only fault is the foam in the cushions is a bit lacking.
Yes. The foam in the ROAMER 1 is more than twice a stick, and one of the most expensive foams you can get on the market. The whole leather/foam area is one of the most expensive have added on the ROAMER 1.
The latches, lockable, & covered, that is huge, as you know, that is a pain in the ass when they're covered in mud!!! They should have named it The Capsule! Love the shower! This trailer's quality puts the off road manufacturers on notice! Nothing combines the off road quality with luxury like The Pause, or the Romer X, but they are in a different category! If you guys really truely want to test full time living in the Great White North, in the -40 degree weather, I am at your disposal! These brands that claims 4 season, if you take a closer look, I would fail them before even going out! Go Power is a great Canadian solar company, and every component is Go Power, mixing different components never works! Thank you for showing us exciting trailers, keep'em coming!!!!!
So this is a ROA video that these other you tuber dudes made of the R1. Did ROA not watch this video before they posted it. The guru of Xplores posted that the R1 loaded with fresh water and empty gray water and gear is 7,800 pounds. This could of course grow if one is out off grid and repliishes fresh water and fills the gray tank. He also mentioned he was suprised the tounge weight was 1,100 pounds and one should have a 3/4 ton truck to pull an R1. Then this Andre dude takes an R1 out with a Colorado ( tounge capacity 770 pounds). Crazy
No! All rhat dough in a tandem axle? Pulling 8k (with water and stuff) it is soooo wasy to get stuck on crazy terrain. So why the fancy suspension? Trailer is too heavy. It is cool none the less .
I wish they could make it just a little bit bigger or with a slide out cuz Dinnette seems cramped. Then I would live full time there. Maybe in the roamer 2
Awesome Camper. I do think mounting the axe and shovel on the outside as shown in photos from Roamer's web site is very irresponsible. When those come lose and fall off on the highway, you are going to kill someone. Cover your load is law in many States!!
I am a fan of this camper and Imperial as a company, but, this video should be pulled because it doesnt show the camper in a good light (dirt road and hooked up to power, come on guys) and being pulled by a truck that can in no way, handle this camper. It is going to cause you (ROA) headaches down the road when people show up in a Tacoma to bring one home.
@davidwelty9763 not really buying this rig is 7,000 lbs loaded. I admit the 8,500 is gvw but if anyone is going out off grid it's going to be pushing 8k. With 1,100 pound tounge weight a Colorado is foolish Nevermind making a video saying it can handel Roamer 1
A little Over weight...I am sutmrevu had some mods but the gvwr is 9920lbs. I don't think that was smart...even bigtruck bigrv said these are 3/4 ton campers.now the x145 and the single axle pauses are even a stretch for this pick up. It's not Australian design, imperial is made in u.s.a. Wisconsin
Learn how to set up the awning next time. You are supposed to run a line to the ground from the low spot to allow water to flow off. Pretty stupid design not covering the kitchen with the awning though. So many trailer makers do this.
Do these guys do any research on these products they review? They are so blatantly oblivious and wrong. That trailer does not weigh 7,000lbs wet and loaded with gear. It is a disgrace and bad for your image posting this nonsense on your channel.
We go through all the details in great depth. We know they made some errors but thought it would still be fun to have a different perspective on the trailer. You at least get to see someone’s raw reactions… We are not trying to hide anything :)
I mean any camper will make those fire roads 😅

Love the capability of this trailer. Just wish it was a foot to foot and a half longer for the bathroom/shower and add an oven.

What’s the GVW of this ? Not the dry weight ? Thx
about 9,900 LBS
9920, Atleast..the roa roamer has a lot of upgrades and batteries so probably closer to 10500

Can I rent one of these?

We would never allow anyone to come with a Tacoma. This is a conversation we have with everyone.
You pulled a 8 500+ pound trailer with 1,100 pound tounge weight with a Colorado. Not wise
According to this video, this trailer weighs 7000 pounds.

Capable RV for sure. Hard for me to justify 155k plus comparable tow vehicle. Not for the common folk.
Even that Power Wagon is not enough truck for that camper.
A Prius could drive that road.

Totally overpriced. Like everything else.
You say the same thing about Earthroamers?
You pay for what you get, and what you get is quality, and a turn key camper.
“Totally overpriced” = I can’t afford it in my wildest dreams, so I’m gonna make the people who CAN afford it feel like crap.
