The high note guy is Baekhyun from EXO. He's getting discharged from his military service today :) He's a great vocalist with lots of solo work. And the red hat is Kai, also from EXO, one of the best dancers in kpop, and Taemin's best friend since before any of them debuted.

BAEKHYUN is the one with pink hair for one of the best vocalists in the industry with CHEN from the same group EXO, EXO are named "The KING vocals" and I think that if you watch their live performances you will have a stroke 😭 Baekhyun came back from the army just yesterday and he is for me with Taemin and Kai the best soloist in the industry is a Genius

Baekhyun the guy belting the high note with the pink hair. He is in a group called EXO and has done solo projects. He is just coming out of military service yesterday/today. (highly recommend watching Bambi by him). SM is planning to have a Super M comeback sometime later in the year once Taemin comes back from military service April 4th.
Baekhyun from EXO is genuinely one of the greatest vocalists in kpop, fr fr. He's an incredible singer. Check out his solo work and also EXO when you can. Baek's most recent EP called "Bamb" is a good place to start. He released Bambi before going into the military in 2021 but he's back as of today so I'm sure we'll get more from him soon.
Baekhyun is also the leader of SuperM and the oldest member in the supergroup. There's a fun video where the team were deciding on who would be their leader. The group first started to nominate Taemin because Taemin and SHINee debuted first back in 2008 and thus he has the most industry experience of everyone in SuperM. But Taemin very staunchly said "NO" to being the leader and instead nominated Baekhyun, who accepted the decision with grace and equanimity.
Taemin is the second oldest in SuperM and the youngest in SHINee but since he has the most industry experience he still helps the group out a lot with performance, dance, and industry guidance. The combo of Baekhyun's leadership and Taemin's mentorship really has been my favorite aspect of SuperM's journey. Coincidentally my favorite part of any SuperM song is also the Baekhyun-Taemin vocal One-Two punch, especially their bridges together. (Followed closely by the Taeyong-Mark rap One-Two punch).
When it comes to Jopping, I actually wasn't a huge fan when I first heard the song. I didn't think it was a bad song, it just wasn't to my taste back in 2019. However, it has since grown on me quite a bit and now I just have fun listening to it. (I'm still not a huge fan of the MV, tho, as I still think the concept could've been a little more story-based and focused like all the MV teasers were in the lead up to the group's debut.)
My favorite SuperM title track is "Tiger Inside" which I consider one of the most cohesive and complete concept > music > choreo > MV showings I've ever seen in a kpop boygroup. I absolutely adore it. Once you're ready to dive back into SuperM, try "Tiger Inside" for a reaction.
Thanks for appreciating Baekhyun (high notes killer) and Kai (you call him the "main dancer") from EXO. They *are* the main vocalist and main dancer of EXO, but you're right, all of them are *aces* in SuperM, that's why they're called *"The Avengers of Kpop!"* I love SuperM, though my ult group is EXO. And I can't wait for SuperM's comeback, this year!!! ;)

As an EXO-L may I also say, you're in big trouble now with Kai and Baekhyun on your radar. EXO is amazing, and Kai and Baekhyun have incredible solo careers (as do many other EXO members). You aren't ready. Kai is also Taemin's official BFF
i recommend exo's obsession, you're gonna go crazy over red hat (kai) 😌 and he will finish you with another red clothes in love shot, and you will also love tempo i'm pretty sure, plus baekhyun's vocals really shine in bambi and his ep - all bsides but my favourite is cry for love.

I’m a major Exo-L but Exo never promote here and tickets are like getting the Golden tickets so to see at least 2 members from the group in person was amazing!😭 Baek is hilarious and Kai is too sexy for his own good😂
SM created SuperM at the behest of Capitol Records and formed it around Taemin and included some of best of the best in SM boy groups -- namely EXO and NCT (inc. WayV also of NCT) members to form this "super" group. At the time, Taemin was promoting SHINee through his solo work while his brothers were in the military. However, with each concert, show, interview, etc., Taemin always lamented being alone without his SHINee brothers. He was lonely and you could tell. It was also still less than a year since Jonghyun's passing. So Taemin goes from being raised and surrounded by four big brothers from the age of 12, to going through a terrible tragedy, and then just a few short months later, being totally alone. This is a lot to handle for, at that time, a still shy, introverted young man when not on stage.
Therefore, when SM got the call from Capitol Records, Taemin was the first one they had in mind and talked with him before anyone else. He was also originally supposed to be the leader of the group. In true Taemin fashion, he wanted no part of that. He was first and foremost the maknae of SHINee and a SHINee soloist. To get out of SM making him leader anyway, Taemin approached the problem, again, in true Taemin fashion. During the new "group's" first VLIVE, the subject of who was going to be leader came up. The other members dutifully nominated Taemin. However right on camera, Taemin demurred and stated that although he had the most seniority of them all in terms of experience, Baekhyun of EXO was the eldest in should be the leader and, therefore, Taemin nominated Baekhyun. The rest of the members followed suit. Taemin smiled, and it was a done deal. There was nothing SM could do at that point. Taemin had beat them at their own game. Never underestimate Taemin.
Even though Taemin is the center of the group, you won't see him a lot in their MVs or dance practices. Taemin is very comfortable with staying in the background here, helping his younger hyungs. He repositions them when needed, he gives them pointers and adjusts the group's choreo to give it more detail and finesse. He also gives them advice on improving their performances or what is unique about them that they should promote more to stand out. All of this can be confirmed in two documentaries: 1) The Artist: Taemin ( th-cam.com/video/m2_MVBxmdyc/w-d-xo.html ) and SuperM: The Beginning ( th-cam.com/video/xhqFdLpDmzA/w-d-xo.html ).
As the center, Taemin is still the guy who moves around the most within the group during performances, as this is what he does in SHINee too and is used to extremely quick transitions and covering ground quickly to fill in gaps. However, his role is more of a mentor in this group and he enjoys it. In fact, his nickname with SuperM is "Taemrisa" because of Mother Theresa attitude in taking care of his younger members. It's quite adorable. Ironically, SHINee mentored both EXO and NCT -- which includes WayV -- prior to each groups' debut.

There's no centre in SuperM. Somehow you managed to write a loooong comment on a 7-member group making it about Taemin only. Bad service for your fave, more people will get irritated at seeing his name further. Neither vocally nor dance-wise is he outstanding. Capital records wanted a group for the western states so they approached sm entertainment with the idea. Taemin was picked first to start and then they chose the rest, seven of the best dancers, singers, rappers and visuals to form this fantastic group. I was one of the lucky ones to see them at there SOLD out concert in San Diego CA. When they came on stage the crowd went ape shit bananas and I was the biggest banana there. As soon as the tickets went up for sale in was a war of the world battle to get a ticket. They even sold out Madison Square gardens. I did try to see them at there concert in front of the tower at capital
records and the Ellen show but after fighting traffic, police block cads and thousand of people I lost the battle. But don't feel sorry for me I got to see them in concert. Thank you so much for this great reaction to super m and my taemin.

He also has some great solo songs where you can really hear his voice. Bambi, Un Village and Candy. EXO also has some great songs Monster, Obsession, Lotto and Tempo. SuperM songs One (Monster & Infinity) og Tiger Inside. Red hat is Kai also from Exo. He is Main dancer i Exo og SuperM. He has trained since childhood in both Ballet and Jazzdance.

LOVE THIS. 😂 In 2019, SM collaborated with Capitol Records, USA, and assembled a group of seven of the best artists in KPOP to debut in the USA: SuperM. In fact, they even collaborated with Marvel after having been dubbed the Avengers of KPOP. Taemin was the first chosen and helped pick the other six members. Though not the eldest member, he is the senior member of the group due to the length of time he’s been in the industry (14+ years). As such, he would have been leader, but he deferred that task to Baekhyun of the group EXO (who’s slightly older than Taemin). Taemin has been the maknae of SHINee his entire career and didn’t feel he would be best suited to lead the others. However, he is the center of the group and they ALL (including Baekhyun) defer to his experience and take his advice to heart. He is very caring towards his dongsaengs (juniors) and was nicknamed Taemresa (inspired by Mother Teresa). Kibummie’s repackage, KILLER, releases in a few days, Jinki has his full-length Korean album and two concerts next month, Minho has been traveling Asia for his Best Choi’s Lucky Choi’s fanmeets…not to mention Taeminnie’s solo works, SHINee’s 15th Anniversary (with album), and more!!! And you know there will be Japanese releases, as well!!! This is definitely going to be a year for the books. I just have to trust and pray they’ll not overdo it too much, while still supporting their endeavors. As for EXO, I’ve honestly avoided them as a group because I know I’ll fall in love and I’m already a Brokewol. 😂 Supporting SHINee is freaking expensive!!! Lmbo. Oh, I also wanted to mention this as I very rarely see people talk about it but Taemin has debuted in a number of groups/units over the years as SM tests out different things they want to do with their roster of idols. His 1st group was SHINee (2008), of course. His 2nd group was a short-lived, mixed gender group called Younique Unit (2012) with members from EXO, Super Junior, Super Junior-M, and Girl's Generation. Then there was another short-lived unit called SM The Performance with Minho in it too (2012). Then finally SuperM (2019).
SuperM has lasted the longest of Taemin's secondary groups, though. We're expecting another release from SuperM later this year once Taemin is released from the military in April and before any other SuperM members go into the military. (I believe Kai from EXO will be the next SuperM member to do his service.)
Interestingly, Key from SHINee also had a short-lived, secondary group called ToHeart in 2014. This duo was particularly interesting because it was formed with Infinite's Woohyun in partnership with Woollim Ent. It was most definitely a business deal to promote a new label that was formed after Woollim Ent. merged with one of SM's subsidiary labels.

SuperM was not as big as they hoped but I love them and they brought me back into kpop and a love for Nct which is my fav but I love music from them all.
Because fan wars. If all the fans from nct and exo would have been better, the group would have been a much bigger success. If you go to the comments on the presale of their albums, all you can read is boucott this until tgey bring a kai solo, boycott this until nct this, boycott save your money till an exo concert. In English and Korean. Rating the album 2 stars before its release. It was sort of dumb.
@@Lupita311 Exo's group and solo activities got affected because of SuperM, Exo was the most affected out of all groups participating and we know that (till that point) the greatest contributor to SM economically speaking was Exo, and to this day SM is putting Exo aside because of SuperM, even tho they said they would prioritize the original groups, but it's not the case when it comes to Exo, as always
The fact: SuperM is the best Kpop group 💯👍🏻 They are not idol, they are artist and they are at the nex level.

SuperM consists of the most popular and versatile members of SME most popular groups. The Red Hat is Kai - EXO's main dancer and centre. He's been named the best dancer in the industry for many years straight, all choreographers name him the best, as he started with ballet at the age of 8, so his technique and versatility in dance is unmatched, he's mastered all existing genres. I can't say much about the other members, as I'm an EXO-l and Kai and Baekhyun are my most loved artists, but Mark from NCT is an incredible rapper, Taeyong is very talented at dance, rap and he produced songs for SuperM. Ten is another versatile member who's very talented at dance and vocally. Lucas is Lucas, everyone loves him for a number of reasons, I'd say he's the goofiest of them all.

The members of SuperM are some of the top artists from SM Entertainment's most popular boy groups. Ten also speaks Thai because he is from Thailand and Lucas speaks Cantonese because he is from Hong Kong and a little Thai because his mom is Thai. And although, Baekhyun, Kai, Taemin and Taeyong are all native Korean, they also speak many other languages. For example, Taemin is fluent in Japanese as well.
Baekhyun is the leader and the oldest member who is currently 30. Mark is the youngest at 23. However, Taemin is the one with the most seniority in the group. Taemin is only 29 years old, but he debuted 4-10 years before any of the other members of SuperM. Taemin debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 when he was 14 years old, so he is a super senior member of the group. (Fun fact: Lucas is only 3 years younger than Taemin, but Taemin debuted 10 years before Lucas.) In other words, as part of the hierarchy of respect, Taemin is the one everyone looks up to. Which, might be why Taemin was chosen to play such a major role within the group's storyline, and why we have seen him prominently featured in almost everything to do with SuperM.
The concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group. Just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup.
I think the concept of SuperM all stems from EXO's concept and storyline. EXO debuted in 2012 as a 12 member group and as part of their concept the members of EXO are all supposed to be aliens from Planet Exo. As part of EXO's storyline, each of the members has a superpower that is specific to them. From day one, EXO's story has been that they were sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are thought to be caused by the Red Force. As a member of EXO, Baekhyun has the power to control light and Kai has the power of teleportation, so those powers are nothing new for them -- you see Kai teleport at the beginning of "Jopping" and you see Baekhyun using his light power as the car speeds away, etc. However, the concept of superpowers is new for all the other SuperM members. (You will see the other member's special powers and abilities if you check out all of their teaser trailer videos which were originally released leading up to the release of their debut.)
Therefore, I think because Kai and Baekhyun are part of the group, SuperM's storyline is tied to EXOs storyline. I think SuperM are supposed to be coming together to fight the Red Force and to prevent or stop the Red Force from corrupting and taking over the world, etc.
And just like the Marvel Avengers members each have their own superhero story, when they come together to form The Avengers they combine their stories and concepts and weave elements of each of the member's backstories into The Avengers storyline. I see SM Entertaiment doing the same thing with SuperM.
Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight.
And although NCT and SHINee don't have a backstory that has anything to do with being superheroes in the same way as EXO does, I find it interesting that, for example, NCT and WayV have songs called "Superhuman" and "Take Off" which both have sort of superhero type themes in their MVs, and one of Ten's solo songs is called "New Heroes". With what I know about SM, it wouldn't surprise me if this is something they have had in the works for a really long time and they probably have been creating ways to foreshadow things to come in SuperM that create connections between the members and their original groups. One thing SM has mastered since the creation of EXO, is how to tell a story and how to create a mystery that connects even the most minute of details together to build an epic adventure for fans.
SuperM's storyline is already connected to EXO's storyline, and I think SM may be working on expanding the story to its other groups, in the same way that "The Avengers" connects all the individual superheroes' stories when they come together to form The Avengers.
If the SuperM Avengers are coming together to help EXO stop the Red Force, I think the members who are part of SuperM are the liaisons who are helping to connect all the groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT and WayV -- together. For example, right after SuperM released "Jopping," WayV came out with their MV for "Moonwalk" and I think the story in their "Moonwalk" MV is a continuation of "Jopping's" storyline, and now I think WayV's "Turn Back Time" and "Kick Back" MVs are also part of that story.
There are parts of several of WayV's MVs, such as "Moonwalk," where it looks as though Ten and Lucas are there to gather the members to bring them into the battle, and in "Turn Back Time" it looks like the WayV members are all beat up like they have been in a fight, which means they could have been in a battle with the Red Force, etc.
To help explain, I think EXO, as members of SuperM, are working with the other "Avengers" members to try and stop X-EXO. If you pay attention to what Kai and Baekhyun are wearing in "Jopping," their outfits are very similar to the all black outfits they are wearing in EXO's "Obsession " MV -- Kai even wears the same parachute backpack in both MVs -- which seems to indicate then that the version of Kai and Baekhyun in SuperM are the EXO members who are the good guys. Because in "Obsession" the members in all black are supposed to be EXO and the members in the colorful outfits with the crazy hair and makeup are the X-EXO members who have been created by the Red Force.
So on that note, I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third and fourth generation groups' MVs and storylines are being designed to connect stories and plots. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. Even though SHINee are second gen., the members actually are around the same age as the members of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen.
And now I see connections being made with SHINee's most recent "Don't Call Me" and "Atlantis" MVs, as well as all of aespa's MVs and many of NCT's MV -- including NCT-127's "Save" MV, etc.-- and even SM's older groups, such as Kangta's "Free To Fly" MV, Super Junior's "House Party" MV and Max Changmin from TVXQ's solo "Devil" MV, etc. It is becoming clear that SM is designing the SM Universe to include all of its groups and it is tying all of their storylines together.
For instance, if you remember in SHINee's "Don't Call Me" MV, you see the SHINee members at one point go through some sort of wormhole as they are teleported somewhere and we see them all standing together in all black outfits. This looks very similar to the scene in "Jopping" when the SuperM members are coming together at the beginning of the MV as they are teleported or travel through the wormhole. So, it looks like maybe SHINee are preparing to eventually join in the fight as well. And when you see them dancing on the train platform we see planets in the sky all around them, which could be connected to EXO's space and otherworld theme. So the train station SHINee are in may not necessarily be on Earth.
It's all part of SM's SM Culture Universe storyline.
To understand the story and concept behind "Jopping" better, and to get to know the members better, if you haven't already, you should watch the behind the scenes/making of video called "SuperM: The Story of Jopping." It's an official video on SuperM's TH-cam channel. It's one of the best behind the scenes Kpop MV shooting videos I have watched and it really helps to explain the concept and story behind the song and the group. It's well worth the 30-plus minute video. Please check it out, even if you don't react to it. :D
If you follow EXO's concept and storyline even a little, you know that SM doesn't do anything halfway. When they come up with a concept for a group they go all in and even the most minute of details are used to tell that story. SuperM is specifically designed to try to help SM grab even more of the U.S. market. That is why their debut and all of their promotions were focused in the U.S. If you notice, SuperM starts with S and ends with M -- SM.
The stadium/coliseum scenes were all filmed in Korea on a soundstage. But, you're right, all the outdoor scenes were filmed in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. So the desert and that cityscape were in Dubai -- it was all filmed live on location. And all those vehicles you see in the MV are real vehicles. Kai rode in the helicopter and Ten and Lucas filmed on that tank, etc. The scenes where you saw them driving the vehicles were in Dubai. They were drove by stuntmen, but they were all real working vehicles.
Just wait until you see them perform live at their debut concert at Capitol Records in California, you will be even more blown away.
Fun fact: Taemin and Kai -- the one with the red hat in the camerawork video -- are considered the top two BEST dancers in all of Kpop -- widely considered Kpop's best dancers by their peers and industry experts, not just fans -- and they have been best friends since trainee days. They both became trainees around the same time when they were 11/12 years old and, especially when they were younger, people often thought of them as twins because they are so much alike in almost every way. Kai is only about 6 months younger than Taemin and when they are together they just click.
There are no "main" positions in SuperM because they are all the "main" positions in EXO, SHINee, NCT or WayV. That is one of the reasons why they were selected to become members of SuperM. SuperM is designed to showcase Kpop's top talent and to introduce Kpop to the mainstream public. SM's goal is to use SuperM to appeal to more than just Kpop fans.
As you noticed, this was a "camerawork guide" video, so it was designed to show the cameramen on music shows and for concerts, etc. where they needed to be during the performance to get the maximum impact of the performance. That is why there were cuts in the video -- to show where it was a good place to cut away when filming -- and why some of the SuperM members weren't necessarily going full out the whole time.
This "practice" video was also meant to help the members know where the camera would be during key moments so they could plan and be ready to respond when the camera focused on them, etc. That's why it didn't really matter if they weren't spot on perfect with the dancing.
You also may notice in the video how they focus their eyes on different cameras at different moments, which is another thing this video was designed to do. This video was also meant to allow the SuperM members to practice where they should be looking at different moment, and for the cameramen to know where they wanted them to be so they could get those moments on camera, etc.
The whole video was more about the camera angles than it was about the actual dancing, however, it was a good example of the choreography, nonetheless. :D

They're all very talented and I'm a fan of each group each of these guys are from but my ult favorite group is EXO which pink hair high note guy (Baekhyun my ult bias) and red cap great dancer guy (Kai) is from lol EXO imo have an almost flawless discography and Baekhyun has 4 mini albums and every song is fantastic to me. His vocals are insane (please check out his bsides Underwater, All I Got, and Cry For Love) and he has mvs for his singles UN Village, Candy, Get You Alone, Bambi which are all amazing... I swear I'm not just saying that because he's my favorite artist lmao

There are so many groups in kpop....and soloists ( from groups or not ) Its difficult to know them all. There are even groups that kind of disbanded or lost members along the way like infinite or vixx ,that are really incredible and you should still watch some of their MVs. Did you like Baekhyun vocals? There are lot of great vocals starting with his teammates in EXO Chen and Suho. Another group from SM with great vocalists is Super Junior, especially the ballad subunit Super Junior KRY. Another power ballader , fun group is BtoB, the live vocal kings. And really , the list keeps going Astro, Onlyoneof, NCT ( and all the subinuts, this needs to take time..ahaha). The are sooooo many , I keep forgetting names.

This is such a talented group of stars, I think the official positions are more blurred than most SM groups. I am biased and I am happy for people not to agree, but an example for me is that although Taemin is definitely the official Centre and is undeniably it when not performing, it seems to me that Kai gets more of the traditional centre positions in performance despite apparently not having that role. It may just be my bias, but I think SM might have approached the group as more (but still not completely) on a level in all aspects. Just an opinion.

And 8 of the 9 members have their own solo albums besides 10 years of Exo group music. Different flavors and styles, but when combined make that signature Exo sound. Like I said, you ain't ready for Baekhyun solo work, let alone Exo group music. Baekhyun's vocals are phenomenal. Baekhyun has 4 solo albums out that he made before military. He just discharged from his military service TODAY and has come home. Everyone is so excited, he's been gone for 2 years. Now we are waiting for Taemin to be discharged this year. And since "Jopping" is from 2 years ago, it's rumored that SuperM will make a comeback this year. I can't wait. But like Shinee, don't sleep on Exo. They are one of the biggest Kpop groups around. The rest of the boys...Mark and Taeyong are part of another supergroup Nct. And Lucas and Ten are from Nct's Chinese boy group WayV. All 7 members of SuperM are great performers. They even appeared on "The Ellen Show" in L.A. Hope you check these groups out. They are amazing.
