That's my hood right there MPK! I have a 2018 Type R too. It's great zipping around traffic, best car I've ever owned. I had an EVO X with bolt-ons and a tune making 340hp to the wheels and honestly once moving the CTR pulls a lot harder and feels faster.
Yeah, It's a no joke car and I've been in one many times, so I know it's quicker than most would think !! I watched a Camaro ss and chalenger srt8 POV drive and it's close to as quick, but not quite as quick, in about the 50 to 135 range...My cousin did 165 once, or twice 🙂🙂 It almost scared him to drive flat out...
Watching this made me realize part of the reason why the 0-60 on the type r is slower than the competition, you have to change gears right before 60. Interesting Honda decided to tune the car that way, Im assuming they didn't have specific numbers in mind when designing the car. Hella fast once the car is going.
Agreed. Honda probably geared it towards track/autocross driving. The CTR does a really good job versus the competition. But then again there are not a lot of FWD hot hatches in its price range and matching the performance. We'll have to start comparing the CTR to sports cars around its price range, which is pretty crazy lol.
I first saw it at the 2018 LA Auto Show, although I haven't driven one. Just from first impressions, I think it's pretty cool. We'll see if I get to drive one later on!

being able to drive both the Type R and the Supra (i love both) should I get the Type R or should I save a little more and buy the Supra?
