In this video I make an Unown of Every Type based on my Zelda and Pokemon project: Link Dimension! In this project I use my art, world building, and storytelling to try and craft a Hyrule based Fakemon world and Monster Taming. If this video does well, I'll make my Eeveelutions of every Zelda Type video sooner!

That's because they're alone and directionless. The reality-warping power of Unown manifests when they are working together at the direction of another.
It's theorized they are in fact the "thousand arms" that Arceus used to create the world.
As someone absolutely obsessed - and I do mean O B S E S S E D - with keys, that key unown is now my favourite fakemon OF ALL TIME, holy fuck.

i can't decide between the water unown or the twilight unown as my favourite
i love the zora one because of the connection to the symbol of wisdom already there, but also because it looks like it'd be the biggest threat in a battle, with it looking like a bunch of sharp blades
and i love the twilight one for the mental imagery of looking up and seeing something strange sitting in the sky, eventually finding a way up to investigate it, to find out it's this strange little creature with little neon glowing lines on it

Yeah Zelda is definitely full of all sorts of alphabets and symbols so they were bound to show up in some form but I really liked the challenge of making them all a different type 😄

I like how the Trinity Unown also match their respective amounts of eyes to the order in which you obtain their symbol's song from Oracle of Ages!
I think they have those numbered parts for a reason and I was luckily able to capitalize on it 😄 haha
God, I adore the Twilight Unown... basing it on the portal was so clever - TP is also my favorite Zelda game, even if I also adore BotW + TotK

This is such a cool concept for the Unowns I like it I especially like how with their Trinity forms they have a growing number of Eyes, Courage has the normal one eye, Power has two eyes and Wisdom has three eyes they all look so cool. I especially like how Malice Unown almost looks like Pecharunt from the Scarlet/Violet DLC Epilogue though the two look different they also look similar as well. Though I would also like if you somehow incorporated Ogrepon, the Loyal 3 and Pecharunt into Link Dimension I could only imagine how you would integrate stories for them and how they can aid Link in his Adventures
Thank you! I wasn’t sure how the Trinity ones would turn out but honestly they’re the exact type of thing I like making (very abstract and mysterious) and I do have a Hyrulean Ogrepon but I only showed it in a short 😄

For the sky type, if you want to redesign it, why not based it on the wind wand (or wathever it is called) from wind waker ?
I think the final product could fit well with the other unown.

The Twilight Unown is definitely my favorite, as I too am intensely biased toward TP. Using the portals and having them float up in the sky looking down is such a cool idea!

A really cool idea - well done! After seeing the Metal Unown as a key, I wondered if there might be scope for there to be a Boss Key evolution/form for it, given that the Boss Key is an iconic item from my LoZ experiences. But maybe that would be better as some kind of Klefki form…?

Someone who watches my videos actually made a boss key Klefki and it looked really good so I’d probably stick to something like that for a Boss Key Pokémon! I did think about giving evolutions to these but I would feel obligated to do that for all of them 😅
Even though Wind Waker is my absolute favorite (very much looking forward to the video focusing on it!), I love the Spirit Tracks representation! It's honestly a super underrated title

For the sky unown, maybe have the eye in the main 'body' of the symbol with the two wings as its body. The little spike can be a crest of some sort like some birds have.

Speaking of the Zonai, what if you eventually made a couple fossil pokemon based on ancient/extinct species in the franchise? Like the Kikwi, Mogma, and Parella who appeared in Skyward Sword but never again? Heck the LD-Units also fit having been shut down even before th game began.

I definitely like a lot of them and can understand your views on them. One thing I do wonder if if maybe there might be a side quest in Link Dimensions that requires you to find and capture/record all forms of Unown in the region. Kinda like having to catch all the Unown in Legend's Arceus.
I wonder if Termina has any unique Unown as it seems that Termina may have a connection in Link Dimension to with the Hyrulian Yamask and the evolutions as well as the info we do have on it.
I could definitely see that! And Termina does have some influence on Hyrule for sure in Link Dimension 😄
The sky Unown is my personal favorite. It looks super cute. I love how cheery it looks, and I think you really pulled off it looking like a bird. Beautiful colors too ❤

Stone, Time and Phantom are my favorites. All these are really cool, but I can't see the Warrior type as aggressive. The eye looks happy (if you turn it upsidedown).

Bit late to the party, but I was just playing alttp and there's a magic spell in that game with a symbol strongly resembling your Thunder Unown. It's called Ether, and it basically calls down lightning for a screen-wide attack which freezes and damages enemies. It's also required to open the way to the swamp palace. Most interestingly though, is the fact that it can be used to see invisible floors (a temporary lens of truth basically), and it think that might make for a great party ability if you're planning on giving Unowns unique party abilities.

It's a neat detail that each of the Trinity forms have a different number of eyes, basically numbering the Triforce in order of Courage, Power then Wisdom.
All of these unown forms are so cool! I love how you pulled symbols from across the Zelda series and the trinity form unown’s are awesome! I like the fire type one because it looks like a comet. I can almost imagine it jumping up super high and streaking toward the ground between the lava lakes of death mountain.

These are all so dang cool, its really hard to choose a favorite 😂 I really loved the trinity forms. All three looked so epic, powerful, and mysterious, they really make you wonder.

I think all of these designs are great. My favorites are Twilight, Phantom, and Wisdom. Also I think it's really smart how you made all of the Unown that become Courage type weak against Wisdom like Courage is. I just used Courage as an example, but you did that with all of them and I think that was very cool. This video was great and keep up the good work.

I like the malice concept, but I think the execution was missed. It just looks too plain, and not evil enough I guess.
The sky and dragon type were the only other ones I weren’t feeling. I like the paraglider look. I guess the Zonai needed some representation, I was just hoping it’d be more dragon like.

Interesting idea to propose: these would make great party members to have to evolve others, much like how Remoraid is needed for Mantyke to evolve. Other than that, great ideas for all of them!
Spirit Tracks has a lot of potential zeldamon, it would be cool to have more. Like the dark/armored/demon trains, the diffferent phantoms, or some of the bosses. And it's a cool game

I had a concept for a Spirit Ttacks Phantom pokemon that is a two stage and starts as a floating helmet and gauntlets holding a sword and shield. And the line is Spirit/Metal and not phantom as I feel a difference should be made clear, phantom pokemon seem to draw from angry spirits, (Poes, phantom ganon, ect) while spirit is the benevolent kind like the fairies and the ST Phantoms as they carry out sacred duties by protecting the tower. Anyway, the first form is Bucklehelm and evolves into Faentom being a spiritually animated suit of armor less hylian in armor and more magical golem made from special armor. I can see a fun evolution being a "stone" evolution with the Incomplete Armor Set (the phantom set in botw/totk specifically) with the description being "a set of phantom armor with no trace of the helmet, still seems usable though" (and you could wear it as well but have to take it off to evolve bucklehelm) and faentom would have a miniboss form in a hebra region based dungeon that is based on darkhammer (the ball and chain guy from twilight princess and lurks in the snowpeak ruins) darkhammer specifically as I feel that the miniboss deku baba was intended to be visually distinct from the base and turning faentom into a darknut didn't feel different enough plus darknut gets treated as a normal enemy at the end of TP while darkhammer is a one and done miniboss, I can see a spirit weapon based on the ball and chain (call it devastation idk) that is effective on ice, stone, and metal types. Plus the image I'm having of the arena is a frozen battle field akin to the blizzeta arena and the way you can mitigate it is a 2 way you can A. have a very powerful fire pokemon Gorcano, the Dinraal based one, so on. Or B. have a pokemon that gives traction on ice with their field ability, maybe a wolfos based pokemon. The idea of a ball and chain battle against darkhammer sounds immensely fun and challenging as your just picking this thing up and need to figure it out fast while your opponent is very familiar with the weapon type. And the Devastation would be a two handed weapon so you can only dodge but is also proving far more usable then the one darkhammer has (think that since it's a magical weapon that it also has been enchanted to be decently light closer to a claymore then a massive hunk of iron on a chain in weight) gameplay wise this lets the game treat it as a two handed weapon in terms of defensive options as now you can only dodge but you won't be a sitting duck due to the weight but the attacks are still different so those have to be learned.
I actually really like the Sky Unown, I think the silhouette is perfect both for representing the Rito symbol and looking like a small bird! Perhaps the eye could be changed a bit as I could see that being a sore spot with the design? Other than that I really like the Forest and Bug Unown.

to be honest, that fire unown looks more like the Starbird Crest from Star Wars Rebels. Fittingly enough, the Starbird is the symbol for _Phoenix_ Squadron.

I absolutely love these! Would have so much fun collecting them all. But I would maybe change Twilight's design a little, as it is, it reminds me too much of a swastika, even though the design is great!
Me: interesting, the metal type unknown seems to be based on the esthetic of the sand dungeon from skyward sword, specifically the beamos enemies from the dungeon given the red and blue coloring.

My only critique is that the malice unknown should have the malice eye coloring so it looks less like a Muk’s kindergarten art project (/pos, fellow artist who loves kids and art projects) all the others have a little more design to them, and I’d love to see the malice get the same. And maybe you can make it similar to the Dex’s physical design but inverted? Idk. The others do a FANTASTIC job of being sentient symbols from around hyrule! I understand the bird one being frustrating, while it looks fine, you can feel an energy of “I have to get this done” that you don’t get with the others. Sadly I don’t really have any inspiration or input for that one. But hey one or two out of 18 is an insanely awesome success rate! This has been so much fun to binge my mans!
I feel like incorporating the triangle into the design of the spirit type unown would greatly improve it. I love the idea and I don't think the current design is doing it justice. Also the triangle part is pretty important in the game.
Yeah I know the triangle represents the stone but I just couldn’t really get it to work the way I originally wanted to but I understand what you mean
Great work! But one thing I noticed with some of the Unown Is that they have floating parts, which normal Unown don't have.
Also The trinity forms are so cool but I think the phantom unown is the best. I don't like the malice type though, it seems too basic
Yeah I tried to avoid adding any floating parts if possible, I don’t really count the Sheikah one since that was the first one I made and I wasn’t really thinking about that at the time but things like the Fire and Phantom one have floating pieces as part of their ‘power’

I love all of these, but I have one issue. The Dragon/Zonai Unown looks a bit weird because the leftmost leg is posed like its moving forward but when you look at the others they seem stationary. And the eyebrow also has that same illusion where it looks like it's both in front and inline with the eye.

I mostly was trying to make it look like floating bricks that were kinda falling away from the body haha not sure if it worked out but the symbol was kinda weird so I just went with that

These are all really cool designs, and an even cooler concept as a whole for the Unown! The thunder type one kinda resembles the Ether Medallion, and you could probably pass that off as the inspiration. Speaking of which, the Bombos Medallion was my first thought for the fire type, but I do think yours is more original and creative, as it not only resembles a meteor, but also the lava rocks that are known to shoot out of Death Mountain in some of the games. And it adds more character to the Fire Medallion's simplistic design that inspired it. Keep up the awesome work!

As someone who was working on Sage concepts to expand upon OoTs sage's there is an argument to be made the Ether medallion can represent the Sage of lightning and also your Lightning Unknown
I actually saw that medallion and was wondering if that was legit haha it at least looked like it and I wish it was 😄
@@bilsuart yeah it's just a usable item in an older game for now unless they ever try to bring it back but it's effect kinda lines up in the simplest of ways to a potential lightning sage but it's a lot of hopes n dreams for now 😆
Turn these could things into ornaments that hang them usually at arch of a door drift in the Wind breeze or Gales like bells Chimes that hang at make noise tho like a with Nightmare catchers !
i would like to say that it would be cool if you could base one of your hyrule pokemon off of something from the four sword game. i literally have only played four sword and i really enjoyed it. a idea for one could be something based off of vaati, the final boss of four sword. also i would really appreciate this as pretty much no one remembers four sword. the reason, like certain zelda games, is because the main villian isnt ganon or memorable.
For the courage one, because you changed the colour of the eye it wasn't obvious to me that it was an eye until I looked at it for a while

These are SO cool! So many great designs, so far I love the Hyrule, Twilight, Shadow, and Fire Unown.
Yeah, the Sky Unown could use a bit more work. Like the wings being more like gliders or closer to the Rito symbol with it pointing upward.
Would've been cool if the Malice Unown's single eye was yellow like the Malice enemies. Give it an eerie and evil feel to it, to make it different. Looks like more like purple poisonous bubble.
Out of the three Trinity Forms, Wisdom is the best in my opinion.
I do hope to see a tutorial from you on how you did the drawings. I used Paint Tool SAI for the Embi drawing for the contest, but I don't know all the functions of it and would love to get the lineart and shading very similar to yours one day.
You Should definitely try out spirit tracks at some point. There's some really cool things you could base Pokémon on from that game, especially the bosses.
Yeah the one Fire/Ice one was something I almost made a while back, I just don’t have an actual way of playing the game besides emulation ☹️
@@bilsuart DS's are pretty easy to come by nowadays but i could see how the game be a bit hard to find at reasonable price. I only have it since i got when i was younger, and DS games aren't to fun when emulated cause of the touch controls. Really hoping they do a windwaker HD style remake of it one day.

Now as a guy that gets ideas and tends to run with them, “Unown but Zelda” has given me several
Now this alone, an Unown of every type rather than every letter, is already a banger of an idea. It feels like an evolution of Hidden Power from Legends Arceus (very fitting really), in that now instead of the move effectively being every type, the Pokémon itself is every type, which is such a natural evolution of the concept that it just *works*, full stop, completely on its own. But why stop there?
You can do Unown’s original alphabet gimmick too!
There’s a whooole lot of languages in the Zelda games, and a lot of them have languages that translate 1:1 with English; for example, Ancient Sheikah, Gerudo, and Hylian (as far as I know) are all 1:1 with English. If you wanted to have waaaay too many versions of Unown, you could, say, have variations of the Time Unown that are shaped like the Ancient Sheikah letters, or the Desert Unown that are shaped like Gerudo letters, or Hylian Unown that are shaped like Hylian letters! Sadly I don’t think there’s enough languages to do this with every type (to be fair with 18 types and 26 letters that’d be 468 Unown, and a guesstimate of 93 to cover the 18 types and three languages would already be more than anyone would ever want to collect), but it could technically work
I don’t know, I just love Unown’s concept and think that the more variations of Unown there are the funnier it gets
