    Solid, well-organized, and beneficial content for me, at least. I really like the aspiration you shared, and hopefully, I can find a group to help me to become a better runner

    Very inspirational, its crazy to imagine you once were 19 min 5k runner. Aspiration is key but so hard to aim for realistic goals.

    Really great video. Sota your form is really good. As a 21min 5km runner i am always worried that my form is the thing holding me back from improving. Did you learn to run with proper form, or did you naturally adjust to the way you now run?

    • @SotaMaehara
      @SotaMaehara  ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate it Peter! Believe it or not, I used to have TERRIBLE form (I think I've privated a lot of my old videos just because of how embarrassed I am about the form).
      Honestly if this is something you want to see a whole video dedicated to, I'm more than happy to make one (regarding how I improved my technique). But in short, I just watched a ton of running and it slowly just improved to be honest. I haven't really done any specific things apart from a lot of core (back in the day) to make sure my torso stays still and it's just my arms moving.

      @@SotaMaehara Thanks Sota, if you did a vid on this that would be much appreciated. Your foot strike underneath your hips and everything that goes with that looks perfect, or perfect enough to a guy like me. My form has improved too since taking up running with increased milage but i am a million miles away from the fast turnover the proper runners like you have. You give me hope though that it might keep improving with the speed and endurance adaptations. Thanks again.

    Diet - Sota's diet consists of eating like 10 minutes before a run, not puking it up afterwards and yoloing it the next day

    me hubiera gusta escuchar tu video de verdad, lo que pasa es que no se ingles🥲🥲, pero con el titulo entiendo que el video se trata de como fue tu transición de 19min a 15 min, y desde hace mucho estaba buscando algo así

    what if we're anti social? how do we run with ppl?

    • @SotaMaehara
      @SotaMaehara  ปีที่แล้ว

      As an introvert at heart, I think that's a super fair question to ask! I think just do what your heart wants, if you want to go out and meet people, do it, if not, don't. To this day I still do most of my running solo (alone). I find that once a week is enough social interaction for me. (at this current point in time). But a few months ago in Sydney I would have multiple runs a week with a group.
      Just do what you want. And as long as you have that intrinsic love for running, you'll do it regardless!

    • @adrianwong8868
      @adrianwong8868 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fvrrest1910 Really matters on what kind of runner you are. If you use strava, you can tell, but essentially, if you take more steps when you run faster, edge+ is better. If your stride gets longer, then sky+ is better. try it on at a shoe shop if you can and get on a treadmill/film your stride.
