So many nuggets of wisdom in this video. Most people would gatekeep this kind of stuff so it’s really cool to see you talk openly about it and share your knowledge. Also new intro is 🔥
Thanks so much for sharing! Enjoyed learning your takes on this. Enjoyed seeing the different ways to structure a week and the thinking around this. Also some good points on the increase of mileage and false rest days. I like having a coach but also do like learning along the way and knowing why I'm doing certain workouts or sessions to become the best athlete within a given time. Keep up the great videos
@12:53 you say not to do threshold before bed. Sometimes I work 12 hour days and its the only way I can fit it in. How much time before bed should be the latest for threshold?
There's no exact time to be honest, I just find I sleep worse when it's too close to bed and also I've seen many talk about not to do workouts too close to bed time, I'd say I wanna be done at least 3 hours before bed time, but ideally more than that Which is why I do most things in the morning
Yeah, that would come down to personal preference, and on second though, I reckon I'd prefer that too myself! Although I still stick to my traditional structure at 09:52 so I don't do the false double threshold much (done it a few times though)
I'd want to be done with any form of exercise at least 3 hours before bed. As a guy that get's 2 hours of deep sleep (and 8 hours total with no interruption) on a daily basis without any sleep supplement assistance, I take sleep & recovery super serious and wouldn't do anything that would even mildly affect it!

@ yeah I agree. I feel like the body is trying to cool itself off and recover still and really struggles to get into a deep sleep for the first part
If do double threshold pm-am.
Should I do LT2 at pm and LT1 at am?
Personally I feel ready for harder session in the evening.

@@SotaMaehara Thank you. 👍👍👍
would you recommend overtraining, but i plan it
Sorry can you rephrase this question? I don't understand it
Why not threshold before bed? Will it ruin sleep?
