The reason this hasn’t happened sooner, is mainly that her family has shield her from the music industry, as we all know can consume artists and take too much artistic control of them. Letting her grow up as close to normal as possible, with only some performances here and there through the years since she started out at Norway’s Got Talent at age 7.
If people did their homework they would know that Billie Holiday actually grew up listening this song before she herself sang it, but yes, Angelina went to school on the Billie Holiday rendition of this song, but maybe even the Diana Ross version from the movie Lady Sings the Blues.

You always come prepared and, to me, it is a form of respect to your viewers that you practice as a music historian. The growing number of your subscribers is a testimony in that regard. Your presentations are an opportunity for entertainment and learning. The lyrics says here: "I'm no good without you", and, when she sings Amy's You Know I'm No Good, Angelina changes that title for I'm So Good. Interesting that positive spin, don't you think?

It would be difficult to find many songs in jazz that we could consider "age appropriate" for a 7 (6)- 15 year old. Themes of romantic love, cheating, heartbreak, drugs...We just have to enjoy most as just a song being sung exceptionally well. Angelina does change some, but most are as written. Some are creative rewrites (like Back to Black- not jazz, but still not age appropriate). Some she alters slightly e.g., not "I just want to make love to you" to "I just want to love you". She's almost an adult, so these concerns will become (usually) moot soon. Specifically, I love your reactions.

an other example she learned from the best and her kind of learning is imitating , but nothing bad about it. She goes through this to even get better and better - what she became (listen at her newer stuff. And i am sure she learnd also a lot from Norah Jones . She met her at least at a concert in Seoul 2017 - so she always learnd from the best. It would be amazing if she look also left and see at least the also amazing versions of the song from Luis Armstrong and the original first sang of this song ...
As you should know, when she does anything from a Billie Holiday song ( version, since the only thing attributed to Billie writing is Strange Fruit)(keep also in mind the term cover would seem ridiculous, in the past and in the jazz world in general, since every piece, improvisation is encouraged) she stays true to Billie's style. God, Billie Holiday would have loved her!
Strange Fruit was written by a Jewish schoolteacher named Abel Meeropol as a poem originally called "Bitter Fruit" after he saw disturbing pictures of a lynching. Meerpol's wife later put it to music and it got played at Union meetings and such. Laura Duncan was the first to sing it. Robert Gordon (who directed certain shows for "Lady Day"), brought it to her attention, and the rest as they say, is history. My favorite Jazz singer certainly fought hard to get the song published, and she definitely made it famous, but she was NEVER attributed with the writing credits. Just wanted to keep the record straight.

And it's nowhere more present than in this song. Singing behind the beat with that focal fry and raspy voice, while checking on the lyrics off to her left, she just nails this performance.
