The only issue was the screws in the box were not numbered the same as listed on instructions. It took a little longer to figure out which one to use. But, it's installed and working perfectectlyl. It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).

I would like to pass this to all of you. Recently, and for the first time after 3 years having this lock, I had electronics problems with it. I replace the batteries and nothing, then I though the configuration was screw up, so I reconfigure and still nothing. So finally I try to reset the lock and that did it. You know, the part where you hold the black button in the back while pressing and holding the lock button in the from where the number digits are at. Well, after doing that and watching the lock or bolt in this case move back and forward several time. After that I game it a new set of combination number lock and that did it. If you ever get this problem I hope this will and can help you. Thank you for all your comments.

Yes, of course. There had times already when the batteries are almost dead so I will use the key to open the lock because is opening with very little force. Also, when you buy cheap batteries they last about 2 to 3 months so use Duracell batteries as they last much, much longer. I have calculated about 8 to 9 month and this while four people living in the house have gotten use to the code other than their keys. So I bought a lock box where I mounted outside the property and as an emergency in case the lock goes bad or batteries die. Needles to say after owning this lock for more than a year now, we have never use the emergency spare key.
Back to you FRIEND!. I spent several hours huffing and puffing this gadget myself and I only kept thinking about all those good people like yourself and others that will go through the same trouble. To shorten the story, I made the video for all of you. Thank you again.
Hello,the first button from the left in the back of your panel is a switch and if you push it to the up position the LED light will start lighting every 6 seconds. Now if your device does not do that then your device is damage since I encounter that with one of my friend purchase. I hope that help and thanks for your question. Please subscribe if you can.
I new about the little switches in the front, I was talking about the actual number pad. I did find out, I have to hit the lock button first then enter the code and they numbers will be lit. Thank you for your information.

No, The code will remain in memory. Don't worry, I change the batteries every 4 month since my kids don't even want to use the keys anymore. I suggest you use Duracell batteries. Again, don't worry and have nice day.
Hey, great video. Thanks for posting. I am having a problem with the "door handing procedure". The important step you said not to forget. After dozens of attempts, I still can't get the thing to do the automatic calibration. Any thoughts?
I know, the most important step. Step1. Take out the 4 battery pack from the slot in the back of the lock. Step2. Press and hold the lock icon top button in the front of the lock. Step3. While holding and pressing the icon figure button in the front, re-insert the 4 battery pack, back into the slot of the back section lock. As soon as you do this the bolt that lock the door will move in and out of the lock chamber as it is resetting itself for proper use. I bought 4 other locks for a several friends and they worked the same way with no problems. Considere you lock could be defective. I hope this help. Good luck.

I can help you, Channel with no name. It's just branding like Sony and Panasonic that they both do the same thing but one is advertise more than the other. I still have my lock and I haven't had any problems or have I encounter any. Maybe I'll change the batteries at one point but so far is has been 8 month and the batteries are find. Orelius thanks for the battery info. After seeing the pros and cons and them demonstrating how you can break into it, I decided to return it to the store. I have a resortlock one that uses schlage inners and will probably use that. My door only has one lock on it so I would feel safer if the deadbolt had a secondary of some sort.

I have 2 problems, 1) the number 2 button on the back, it cycles every 30 secs while the door is locked and won't stop, is the normal? Sounds very annoying. 2) I have followed direction to a tee and I can not get my master code to program. I watch the stupid video from the company and they must of left something out.
That is not how it's suppose to work. Sound like you have a bad unit. In my video I show you how you can turn those bottoms off because I know you are right when the light and the sounds are very annoying I even say that as well in the video. But your problem when your unit I have not encounter it with mine. Good luck.

Maybe I can help. The large bottom needs to be hold for a few seconds and enter a code. You don't have to hold the large top bottom in the back; just press it for a few seconds and then release and now enter a code. If you set it to less than 5 digits it will not work. I set my on 8 digits and then press the lock bottom. Try that and it should work. Good luck

Great video but, how do you turn on the back light? I installed this same lock a couple of days ago but when you touch the pad it won't light up.

Is suppose to be like that. Is only green when you reset the number keys as they take too long set back into active. Hope that help.

You need to scrap this video and replace it with one showing how to program the lock.
Informative but how safe is this lock? Most of the videos here say kwikset is weak compared to Schlage
