  • With the Spurs up 3-2 in the 2013 NBA Finals, they were poised to take the title from the brash Miami Heat, featuring the best trio of in-their-prime players ever assembled on the court. And it took one of the most improbable shots from one of the best shooters in the game to keep the Heat in it, demoralizing the Spurs in the process, and leading them to their 2nd title of the Heatles era. #MiamiHeat #LeBronJames #NBA

man as much as i hate bronsexuals, i have to admit the whole 3-6 nonsense is such an unfair criticism. I believe that lebron deserves all the hate he got for 2011 finals against dirk. that was a terrible choke job. In 2014 i still think lebron played like the best player on both teams even though kawhi clamped him. The rest of his finals losses were not his fault imo. He did everything he could with he teams he was given. i don't think any legend could have won in the situations that lebron was in for the other 4 final losses.

Yup. I get so mad every time some idiot thinks the 3-6 is all they need to tell people Lebron sucks. Like come on. Do you remember anyone from his team in 2007? Yeah, me neither. Other than Ilgauskas. Anyone who says MJ could've taken that Cavs team over the Spurs big 3 is just straight up wrong. Same thing with 2018. The Cavs were the 4th seed and Lebron had to hard carry them to get out of the East, and meanwhile the Warriors had 4 all-stars, 2 of them being MVPs. I view the fact that they managed to force overtime in any of the games as an accomplishment. Also, apparently nobody seems to remember that 51-point performance anymore. Sad.

Mentally he still makes the same mistakes (can’t play off the ball, barely an average shooter, both of which the spurs exploited). He has even less spacing around him (miller, battier, Allen, chalmers, Bosh vs. green, Bradley/kcp).

part of being a great player is being the kind of player other guys want to be on the same team. People use ray allen clutch shots or chris bosh blocked shots to devalue lebrons presence. Lebron was the reason those guys wanted to be there (arguably wade) but realistically, part of the skillest of an all timer is who and how they mesh with other superstars

    • @ginvodka3115

mesh with other superstars my ass, he just wanted more help as he cant literally finish the job himself. he needs like 2-3 stars and several appointed players by him so that he can play confidently since he knows he got other guys to save his ass.

I enjoyed all of the plays being broken down. And how they worked. It showed me the strategy that gets put into games which I didn't realize before. I don't like the message that because LeBron had bad shots and rough stretches, that this shot luckily won him this championship and saved his legacy. The man did a lot to get his team into position throughout the season and playoffs and even that game (including not shying away from taking and hitting shots that you have said are clutch) to have his team in the position to win. But this was really well done on all other accounts. I liked the Mario highlights the Miller highlights (I had to :D ).

  • @Climb_Mountains

That offensive rebound by Bosh never get talked about as much as it should.
Spurs really missing those 2 FTs last minute, Pop taking out Duncan, and even just Ray Allen leaving the Celtics and hitting one of the greatest shots ever. Just soo many things had to happen for the Spurs to lose and they all happened.
Also I'm really surprised you didn't point out how that Bosh block at the end was a foul. Clear body to body contact while the shooter was in the air. That's a foul anywhere.

Not agreeing with the heat having "bad defensive principles". They were a consistent top 5 defense. They also were a pretty athletic team, with Power Forwards as defensive anchors. So an aggressive Defensive ballscreen Coverage made some sense, especially, when it was built in the summer of 2010. "Ice defense" was just beginning and few Teams were able to move the ball like the spurs or shoot a lot of threes. So it made sense to make superstars get rid of the ball like kobe, pierce, durant in ballscreen situations
