      It is not just complex; it is imaginative. They think that one win out of seven is already enough. Yes,they are big, and their mouths are bigger. You can not judge the opponent like that. They may not reach that stage without the ability to beat their past opponent.

      Sorta makes sense. Since Spo would rather throw his better defenders on the scorers. Granted Spo can also take a risk playing Highsmith to match the size but that could compromise the overall offense as well. Since Vincent is the steadier shooter in the playoff lineups outside of the streaky ones like Strus and Robinson. But maybe in the adjustment is Spo just goes 'screw it' and puts out a better offensive lineup to combat what the Nuggets have. Cuz the Heat match up wise are somewhat compromised as is.

      There are just different types of athleticisms. By the end of the Lakers series, Anthony Davis was exhausted running down the floor with the Joker and being knocked around by him.
      The Joker is like a car that can only go a maximum of 65 mph, whereupon Davis car can go 120 mph.
      But on the highway a car only needs to go 65 mph to maintain speed. And because of the lower speed Jokers car runs out of gas later than Davis's car. And because Joker carries more adipose fat on his body, his gas tank is larger, too.

      They were ok in the bubble. But I was at one point piqued in a trade that would bring Ben Simmons to Denver back in 2020 (and before he folded). Simmons could answer the on-ball defense and is a ball handler himself. Jokic and Murray can find him spots on the floor to attack as well. If anything the Nuggets were smart to let Jerami Grant get his bag (with the Pistons) and find another talent to replace that big versatile forward role who can defend. Thankfully Aaron Gordon was that guy.

    Think about this: the last 2 games Denver lost, came against Phoenx. And the Suns only managed to do it in 2 games and only because KD and Booker combined for 80 or so points. The Heat don't have 2 players who can give you 80 in a game. If they get lucky and everything works out, they can get 4 guys with 20, but not for 4 games.
    Barring an injury or a ridiculous meltdown hitting Denver, I don't see the Heat winning a game.
    Also, keep in mind, Denver is averaging 115 points those playoffs, they had 100 this night. Plus their defence didn't look nearly as intense as it did against LA, for example. Watching that game live, it felt like Denver could've always gone up 1 or 2 gears, but just didn't need to except those 3 minutes in the 4th, were they did just long enough to go back to +16 and just coasted to the end.

    Size is a massive problem for Miami. It was their issue last year with the Celtics, which they didn't bother to address in the offseason. And now its a problem again. Considering how the game went and that Miami played about as poorly as you could and still made it interesting at the end, I think its possible for them to figure something out and win. But they are just determined to do it in the most difficult way possible. Being so small means they need to give max effort on every play and they need to be on point with every detail the entire game. And its just too much to ask for an undersized team to do game in and game out. I know Miami thinks they can out scheme and out hustle their way to a championship, but I don't know why they have decided to make it this hard on themselves.

      Problem is, if Heat doesn't have excellent shooting night, they are done, for real. But Nuggets have like 3 game plans, they win through height advantage, through fast turnovers and they can beat Miami in shooting if they have a good night. Idk, Nuggets team is extremely balanced, their chemistry is awesome, I really don't see a way how Miami can win FOUR (4) games. I give them 2, and they should be happy with 2 wins against the best team in the NBA if I'm being honest.

    Here's hoping NBA teams watch Denver, and realize that being three-point happy doesn't work unless you have historically good shooters; Denver varies what they do, and work with their strengths. Also, newsflash: Being really tall helps in basketball. ;)

    It's great to see players from both sides being knocked on the floor and getting up as fast as they can without complaining. No flopping! It would have been disgustingly different if the Flopping King were present.

    Spo is a psycho if he insists running that Gabe/Jimmy/Caleb/Strus/Bam or Zeller lineup. I understand that’s been their best lineup but it’s only playable against Gordon and Jokic if they’re hitting their 3s at a great rate

    This was a great analysis. I was thinking the same thing when I saw Miami's starting five. I kept seeing Gordon get matched with a smaller player, and that is an easy gimmie.
    By the way, what happened to Jimmy Butler? He totally took a back seat in this game.

      His ankle is probably bothering him, also doesn't help that he had to play 7 games against the Celtics while the entire Nuggets team got one full week of rest

    • @fullfradi95
      @fullfradi95 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      "Tottaly took a bak seat " - nah , its like when ppl hated Kobe cause he shot the balls, but when he stopped shooting and passed the ball ppl said he has bad mentality and attitude.
      Jimmy tried to involve his teammates in the game so they will be able to get "hot" (feel the rythm) , if you watched the games in playoff Heat was insane when somebody next to Jimmy had backets so enemy's Deffense need it to spread their energy not only focus on him. Its not his fault that his teammates where terrible at shooting in Game1.

    • @franklomes6828
      @franklomes6828 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@fullfradi95 SO you say it was ok for Jimmy to play passive and try to get his teammates going, but totally hand the game over without being aggressive and attacking his defenders.
      ITS THE FINALS Dude. The Finals is where your best players show up and do their work, not play passive and help their teammates get going while they chill.
      It's ridiculous.
      Jimmy needed to score 20+ and be a bully taking advantage of mismatches. But now the Heat are down 1 game without showing any fight in them against a bigger more physical Denver Nuggets.
      After seeing this game, I really thing Denver can sweep.
      By the way, Jimmy IS NOT Kobe. And it showed because Kobe in the finals would be going hard at anyone defending him, and he was going to get his buckets.

    Watching Nuggets play is like watching Spurs 2014, the ball movement, teamplay, all is about team, not rely on individual talent. That's how the Spurs was described as boring back then... But only true basketball lover know that's how should the basketball play as 5 on 5.

    • @ChrisTesch87
      @ChrisTesch87 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Brendan Bloom that's not my point. My point is that the Western conference finals decided the NBA finals this year. Whether it was the T-wolves or Sun's playing the Nuggets in the conference championship the winners of that would beat the Heat or Boston in a 7 game series. Of course, this is only my opinion

    • @brendanbloom3366
      @brendanbloom3366 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ChrisTesch87 well yeah you could also make the case that whowever won the nuggets suns series was gonna win even though we don’t know cuz it took booker and kd having to score like 70 for them to win and they were hurt and lacked playing time together but were the most competitive team vs Denver.

    • @ChrisTesch87
      @ChrisTesch87 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Brendan Bloom agreed, the Sun's definitely put up the most fight. It's just crazy how good the freaking Nuggets are though. They can have a relatively cold shooting night and still beat the heat without it being close. Gordon is a beast down low too. They're going to have to pay that guy soon

    Don't forget this type of plays and defense is allowed thanks to rule changes. It is shame NBA allowed such soft type of basketball during 2010 - 2020 where the 3pts and small ball dominated. I'm very very glad to see the post moves and power dribbles again without many the floping. God bless Jokic and AG

    Bro awesome analysis. I was telling my friend this is exactly what the nuggets are going to do. He was bringing up jump shots and 3pt shooting. I’m like nah nah, nuggets are going To play bully ball. Jokic is going to play the distraction role for most of the game and then go off in the 4th quarter. Double teaming Jokic and going into a zone will not work much cause they will score anyways. Gordon and porter can post up Lowry, Martin, strus and Vincent all day and set themselves up for the easy 2 pts all the time. If you dare to go after Gordon on the post you leave shooters wide open. Porter and Jokic can shoot over peoples head and Murray can get hot quick. Don’t forget about kcp and brown who are 2 way guards that have been so good for them and can splash that three. I’m rooting for my boy Bruce brown miss him on my nets. I’m not sure what the heat can really do and tbh 3pt shooting is all they can do to really keep up not take over or even tie the game. But this is spolestra so he gotta have something up his sleeve. Let’s see what happens but I got nuggets in 5.
