    I started with almost the same tools with a 500 budget 8 months ago I’ve retired from the airline industry try to work in retail but too many unprofessional unfit employees in charge I couldn’t take it so watch some of them videos on TH-cam heard some of the top dogs charging them high prices stared with family and friends word of mouth got out and as today I’ve got a small apartment complex 8 units in total 12 cars I work only on weekends I’ve space them some every week some every other week I m operating in the hood my customers are average working people that can’t afford them high prices but don’t want to go to a public car wash my customers are happy I’m happier it’s helping paying my bills but the best thing is that I’m my own boss! Best wishes to all the detailing community

    Great information I appreciate it but I have to agree with one comment. I do not agree on a water tank or a pressure washer a pressure washer does a hell of a lot more damage than people think it can literally strip your clearcoat right off it can literally strip your paint right off to be honest with you I’m just starting my own Detailing business and I use a 50 foot garden hose with a light pressure tip nozzle I use microfiber cloth, mitt for washing, and then I use a sham cloth for drying and do another once over with the microfiber cloth. Then I apply a spray on wax and I have the same results just like a normal ceramic coating, less work more efficient, same results. also, if you’re not careful, and you are power washing the grill area which most of us do because of the bugs if you get too close to the radiator fins or the condenser fins. You will fold them over not if but will period been there done that on my car and it will affect AC cooling and engine temperature. Trust me I used to work in the shop I know and 90% of the time when the radiator and condenser fins were folded over. we have already known what had happened. So I do not use a pressure washer it’s overrated and honestly it’s half assed done. so get out there and do it how it used to be done show your customers you really care for their vehicle treat it like your own. That’s how I do it and you’ll always be successful.

    • @acsdetailing
      @acsdetailing  ปีที่แล้ว

      A garden hose will take you 4x as long, get a power washer that’s 2000 psi and you will never strip away the paint or clear coat. That’s like saying the paint will come off when driving 100 mph on the highway on a rainy day. I don’t agree with getting a water tank cause it puts too much stress on your vehicle unless you have a van then you’re good. Thanks for the tips though I will keep that in mind next time I’m detailing. Using a power washer does not mean I don’t care about customers vehicles, I know that my pressure washer will not nor ever in a million years strip their paint off their vehicle.

    Straight to the point, I love your recommendations on the chemicals. The reason why is because everyone that has made a video like this has either made it very complicated or just vague… great job. I have been looking for a video that can help me figure out what chemicals I need for the interior and exterior… thanks!

    LOL!! I started in the mid 90's and ended up having to sell half of my equipment during COVID to make ends meet. I have slowly building my equipment back up. I could tell you for a fact. If you are just starting out and are also working on funds. You absolutely DO NOT need a foam cannon nor do you need a pressure washer. A garden hose and a bucket would be just fine. There was no such thing as a foam cannon in the mid 90's.

    • @acsdetailing
      @acsdetailing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay? Still speeds up the process and it’s what I use. Why would I tell people to do that when it’s not what I do, it’s also 2023 not 1990. If you got 1-2 details you’d be able to buy a foam cannon and power washer. It’s not that deep bro 😆

    • @southernreflections692
      @southernreflections692 ปีที่แล้ว

      @acsdetailing Yes, I agree it makes the process easier and faster. So dies an extractor, steamer and water tank. But they are not needed for a beginner.

    Great recommendations! I am gonna disagree on a few things. I hate the tornador, it's expensive and it takes up too much space&time, but doesn't offer a significant improvement. I think P&S products are overrated, like bead maker which acts more like a ceramic detailer ime, cause it's almost always used as a topper or drying aid but it's more expensive than Meg's beadbooster diluted. I think pressure washers and foam cannons are overrated, expensive and take up more space and don't improve the wash, so just get a cheap foam gun or use a bucket 🪣. I hate permanent ceramic coatings cause they are expensive and difficult to apply and they only make sense after an expensive paint correction, and the coating can get loaded up and temporarily loose it's hydrophobic properties if it's not washed regularly. I would rather just use a cheap insulator wax with a topper/ceramic detailer and just reapply frequently.

    • @acsdetailing
      @acsdetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Definitely some good recommendations, most of the money I make from detailing I use to buy new tools and products to test out and see what I like and these are what kind of stuck with me. I’m surprised you don’t like the tornador I use it on every detail and seems to save me time and is a nice backup to a vacuum if there’s stuff in the carpet or getting under the seats. I’ll try out that beadbooster after my bead maker runs out. I appreciate your thoughts it really helps us all improve!

      Yeah I’m not taking nearly the same amount of steps to put on this spray coating, it’s to leave a protectant on the paint not to be a solution to a ceramic coating. I also use dr.beasleys as a spray coating now because I believe it’s better than what I was using in this video
