Most of the time (my experience) is that the ramp opening on the switch holder wears out / gets elongated. So the plunger on the switch does not get depressed enough. Therefore the N.C. switch will close before the two other N.O. switches open up when you open the door. If you open the door when running (not using the Stop / End / Cancel button) that will weld the contacts the N.C. switch together as you show. With that switch bad anytime you Start, the breaker will trip .... until you do it so much that the internal fuse will blow and not even the display panel will be powered. Use caution when ordering a replacement switch holder. Many will cross-reference but the switch position in it be off by 0.010-0.025" and that will be enough to cause your replacement switch to weld, again. So always get the official switch holder from the manufacture, even thought it costs 2x as other ones.
Yes the holder can wear and shift. I have not seen it lately, but definitely in the past. Yes I always tell customers to wait or press pause before opening. You sound like a tech, you know how it goes.
I agree that would be ideal, but I was on a call for a microwave tripping the breaker. I figured it was in there without anything. Tape is better than nothing
Why would the breaker trip if door is not closed properly? Wouldn't it make more sense not to cut power to microwave generator? It didn't trip either when you opened the door while running at the end of the video when testing...

Instead of tapping the board, try a hot melt glue gun.🇦🇺💫

The breaker will trip once the board tries to start. The monitor switch is off line, so it trips to breaker.
What kind of circuit breaker you are using ( yellow)?
