Isayas is great African leader . Eritrea has suffered from conspiracy since Second World War. Some of these conspiracy can be read in a wikileaks database. Eritrea knows democracy since the Kingdom Bahri negasi of Debarwa. Help the Horn of Africa for peace. Do not interfere ! This is the vision of Isayas Long live Eritrea and Haba Atsmu!!

No he isn't, isias and his regime have to end, most eritreans live outside of eritrea because isias has made living in eritrea unlivable and dangerous.
      THIS IS BAD LEADERSHIP.
      Hopefully the future brings change.

A good leader should create an other Great Leader and not seat in power endlessly. That's what a dictatorship is. Now rule of law. Everything is closed no business no hotels. the country has been closed for business for the last 25 years... No building permits no construction ...

    I am Eritrean 🇪🇷
This video was very well made. However a few things have been left out :
    1. TPLF wasn’t the only one that marched into Addis Ababa in 1991 . TPLF (as the video states) marched accompanied by EPLF Tanks (which were siezed from the Derg) . They were instrumental in quelling some small resistance to TPLF rule in the city . (There is videos of this on TH-cam)
    2. Another reason for the souring of relations after Eritrea’s independence was because TPLF led ethiopia did not want to pay Eritrea in dollars for using its port . Instead it wanted to pay it in Ethiopia’s currency (birr) . Which Eritrea had no use for since it had its own currency . This disagreement fuel the drift as well
    3. TPLF led Ethiopia promised to respect whatever ruling the Algiers agreement decreed, once it was ratified the contested land was Eritrean soil, TPLF led Ethiopia reneged on its pledge to sign . Which also fueled the distrust .
    4. Eritreas govt not only closed down the only internationally recognized university but also made it illegal for doctors to practice medicine privately. Before people had a choice , you could stand in line for hours to use the public hospital OR for those who could afford it , go to a private doctor and be seen or treated. The dictator done away with that and jailed all doctors caught practicing medicine privately ( BECAUSE THEY HAD no choice but to do it since they were not getting paid livable wages working in public hospitals ) .
    5. The government also SEIZED all commercial vehicles, water trucks, fuel trucks, construction equipment, and any/all private fleets , had them put up to collect dust and rust away . DID Not compensate the owners for this. And imported new vehicles and gave all the fore-mentioned industries to his generals and close allies .
    6. There is no citizens rights in the country , thousands of Eritreans have disappeared over the years at the hands of his generals. Their families have no idea where they’re taken or if they’re alive.
    7. Disabled veterans were& are treated like dog 💩. In the early 2000s, Once they had enough, they formed a group and marched to his office in the city to ask for livable conditions . He had military police round them up and had them EXECUTED for daring to speak up . THESE WERE FREEDOM FIGHTERS WHO FOUGHT BY HIS SIDE FOR LIBERATION .
That was when hope for Eritrea’s future went down the drain. Up to that point despite all the red flags 🚩, a lot of people trusted in his leadership. After that point a lot of the middle class and those who had money/businesses, liquidated their assets and started fleeing the country one by one .
My family was one of the last middle class families to flee Asmara in 2010. A city that birthed me , a city that I LOVED, a city that my most precious memories were made in. My family had to flee for me and my siblings future.
And the worst part of it is, SOME of the escapees , come to west , enjoy all the benefits of democracy and capitalism but turn around SUPPORT his authoritarian regime. The very regime they fled from.
I hope god helps my fellow Eritreans because the people are the nicest most welcoming people you’ll ever encounter but we have been through a lot and by gods grace we will overcome this with no doubt.
Ps. Everything I’ve stated can be verified through independent research . Don’t take my word for it .

I agree with everything you said except "7". The disabled veterans DID protest. However it was in the early 90s. They were not executed, but rather shot at, by a specific traffic crossing. People were killed. And the government actually relented. Had it been today, they would've been jailed and taken away, no questions asked.

If you’re really an African intellectual, you’d know Isaias is the Thomas Sankara of east africa. Because the west cannot control Isaias, they placed sanctions to cripple Eritrea’s economic growth. You did not mention the industrial growth between 1993-1998, where Isaias demobilized 70,000 former freedom fighters and turned them into a massive labor force, constructing 8 factories and 11 water security projects. The trajectory of Eritrea switched after the 98-2000 border war with Ethiopia, where the Tigray leadership attempted to reverse eritreas independence, mainly from an inferiority complex. Eritrea was supposed to be an economic powerhouse, but forced to become a military garrison state for its own survival. Eritrea doesn’t accept foreign aid, we carry too much integrity for white saviors to feed us when we can grow our own food. Eritrea is only 1 of 3 African nations that refuse IMF loans. Isaias kicked out UN peacekeepers & agencies for meddling in our internal affairs, which initiated the feud between the west & Eritrea. It takes at least 10yrs of sustainable peace for a new nation to develop institutions supposed to last centuries, Eritrea only had 5yrs. I enjoy your content, but when it comes to my country, you disappoint. Isaias wasn’t in the country during the border war, his generals were trusted. The G15 had support from the CIA through Dan Connell, they chose the wrong time to foster chaos and division, while many martyrs haven’t been buried. Isaias prioritized national security above all us, leading to the strongest and most disciplined military in the region. Next time conduct proper research, this intellectual laziness is beneath you and insulting.

Dude he “demobilized“ massive workforce 😂 😂. He paid them jack shit . I like how you use yours worlds to fit your narrative
2 . Why aren’t you mentioning the disabled veterans that asked for livelihood help and instead of doing that, he had them executed . LITERALLY VETERANS WHO FOUGHT WITH HIM FOR LIBERATION.
How about the thousands of Eritreans made to disappear by his generals and himself. There’s thousands of families who don’t know what happened to their boys and girls that were taken.
You talk about trajectory . Isias closed down the only international university in Eritrea and made every college student attend some BS school in mainefhi.
How about closing down of all private businesses , jailing doctors caught practicing privately because he made it impossible to live with the jack 💩payments to public servants (including doctors).
How about the deterioration of healthcare in Eritrea as a result of this.
How about the siezing of all private commercial vehicles tankers, trucks, ships and all private fleets . And gave all those industries to his trusted allies .
His generals have millions of hectares of farmland that they use basically slave labor .
I’m a product of Isaias wrongdoings . My family like thousands like us were lucky enough to escape his SAVAGERY . Many weren’t so lucky .
You like all the videos this channel puts out but when it comes to your precious little ISU , you’re butthurt about the truth . Special place in hell for people like you, who have sold their souls and countrymen and disregard the truth 👍🏽.

man can tell you've put in a lot of effort in this video. But you forgot relevant data and facts regarding Eritrea's involuntary isolation. Eritrea and TPLF-led Ethiopia were in a cold war from 2002 - 2020. Ethiopia occupied Eritrean territory in violation of international law and Eritrea was also attacked in 2016.
There is evidence published by Wikileaks about how the Ethiopian government with the help of the USA isolated Eritrea. Eritrea was also unfairly sanctioned because the ''financing of Al Shabaab'' was a lie.
