I had one of these years ago. The hull with no engine I truly believe was the same weight as a ready to ride 550. I recently got a laserjet thunderjet f15 powered by pjs. What do you know about those? Was it a different company than pjs that made it? The side of the ski says thunderjet f15 laserjet powered by pjs. What one is the model and what is the manufacturer? I've heard many different answers but I bet you know the real answer. Even though most of these oddball skis kind of suck, they are so cool to see and I'm so glad they made them. It would be so cool to see a museum with every obscure stand up from 2000 and older.
Thank you for watching. Yes, the PJS Skis where very heavy. The "Lazer Jets" were their own company. They sourced the engines and drive lines from PJS. They we NOT PJS skis.
I am sure it would. Ski is long, though, and IMO "Ill Handling". It would be a shame to convert to a 750 as these have collectability, and are rare. Better to just leave as is, and appreciate the history. Get a 750, SJ, or other ski to ride if you want more power.
I know this is not over this topic but my vintage blaster will not reach over 5500rpms the whole fuel system has been replaced or rebuilt with oem parts minus fuel line as that is from blowsion l. I have tuned amd tuned the jets until I'm blue in the face. It feels like there is no gain in power from 3/4 throttle to wot. Do you think the stator and or coil and plug wires could be the issue?
I would be happy to help. I need more info though What jetting do you have? Have you done a leak down test? Elevation? .What impeller? Compression? Have you check the deeds, or carb venture for reversion while running? Have you checked your timing? Hard for me to say if you have a fuel issue, or electrical. Best to call my shop, or send me an email so we can go back and fourth. All of my contact info can be found at my Watcon web site.

Do you think this hull would be benefit from 750 engine and pump? Or still too heavy.

@@watercrafttalk2738 ok thank so much sir
What was the top speed of that thing originally?
Thanks for watching. I do not remember what speed claims PJS made on these back in the day. When we rode this one, we did not GPS it.
Hey could you possibly make a video about js550 fuel line routing? I’m having some trouble on mine. Thanks!
Hello Eli, Thank you for the reply. I recommend looking at a shop manual for your ski. That will show you the fuel line routing diagrams.
