# In the present Kuki - Meetei clash in Manipur some speakers objected the use of the term “Ethnic Cleansing” but the following sequences proofs that the allegation was true beyond doubts: 1. That, during the past 4- 5 years hate speeches were meticulously propagated against Kukis of Manipur calling them illegal immigrants, poppy cultivators, drug dealers, illegal forest encroachers and even their Anglo- Kuki war a bogus history etc. 2. But one thing for sure is that peace cannot prevail under the shadow of the gun. Unless, SoO pack agreement is abrogated and fully controlled, and further disarmament of guns from the valley too, is initiated, a conducive environment for peace talk initiative is hard to build. Because, nobody would freely express when there are guns. Moreover, the villagers themselves who know each other,, may be allowed to talk, because, we still find examples where people care about one another and inform for their safety. Those are the people with true hearts and their talks without any instigations from other parties, would greatly help in rendering an informal initiation of peace. But, it is also not possible with a fear of guns.

We civil society should raise above biased emotions and sacrifice some personal interest to meet in the middle path. Way for peace is; first, current leadership must take moral responsibility for their failure and apologies. Second, allow the public go out and do about their daily economical activities and also public offices should be opened. Enough security must be given to avoid any security threat. Third, direct action on public gatherings & mob gathering must be strictly prohibited. Under no circumstances, public gatherings should not be allowed until peace is restored. Fourth, leadership from both side must sit down & talk. Mob justice will kill everyone.

Regarding ST demand let it be decided by the constitutional institutions and objections should be within the realm of democratic framework. Way for peace is; first, current leadership must take moral responsibility for their failure and apologies.
Second, allow the public go out and do about their daily economical activities and also public offices should be opened. Enough security must be given to avoid any security threat.
Third, direct action on public gatherings & mob gathering must be strictly prohibited. Under no circumstances, public gatherings should not be allowed until peace is restored.
Fourth, leadership from both side must sit down & talk.
