Cartoon Judge! C.G. In other words it’s better for a film to get nominated for nothing than a Razzie. Examples of films that’ve gotten them are The Room, Troll 2, the Emoji Movie, and the last airbender. The have categories such as Worst picture, leading actor/actress, screenplay, and a few others. I would go on but the only category that’s okay to be nominated is Razzie Redeemer where someone who won or was nominated has redeemed themselves for a great film such as Sylvester Stallone nominated in Creed for his incredible performances as Rocky Balboa.
I didn't think i would have the biggest smile upon my face when Crazy E-Rod returned to the show after so long. But here we are. And he's BROKEN! I was also into the broken universe before it was cool.
Everytime you ask "how bad can this movie be?" The crazy E comes out. Never ask that question again, Erod! Also Tom Hooper needs to stop making musicals!

@@andrewbloom7637 That is true. However, it is evident that Hooper is more adept to period pieces than musicals. Mistakes were made and it reflected poorly on the movies as a whole. Sideways did a comprehensive breakdown of both Les Miserables (2012) and Cats (2019) that's worth viewing for a more musical look into those movies failings. Hooper could have made Les Miserables into a well made period piece if he nixed the music, there are good parts about it without music. But the Hooper cannot be trusted with well known musicals.
Falxifer Rex hopefully he’ll review Teen Titans Go to the Movies soon. Because that show ruined the Teen Titans, and I just don’t see the point of the movie being good. But at least Joker in my opinion was a masterpiece
I once went to a musical spoof of Cats that was titled Rats. I can´t say how it was though because five minutes in one of the actors broke their arm and the play had to be cancelled. I think the broken arm was less painful and quality of life diminishing than this.
7:23 yeah, James Cordon came with that joke at the Oscars about good special effects when the VFX studio that wasn't vastly underpaid and overworked it's employees, went under. So they're were unemployed.
Thank you for busting this movie since I hadn't watch the original Cats, but it was in the five dollar bin. I saw the box art and fell with this, but the remake one. It gave me a reason not to watch this movie for a good reason since it wasn't a remake. I don't this approach on how they used the CGI because it made me think that they performed in the nude. Geez, the original boardway didn't need CGI, but they relied on the make-up artist. I like on how they brought out the characters. Even if I hadn't watch it, but I felt this studio failed to remake to the fans' expectation. Besides, I referred promoting the original DVD of the Cats than the remake. Demon cats from hell, they don't look nothing like demon cats from Disgaea. Nor they don't look like Felicia from Darkstslkers. These cats looked like that they deserved to Thano's snap out of existence.
This movie was like the cinematic equivalent of drugs for me; I was very weirdly uncomfortable at first, then eventually I sunk into a strangely-not-uncomfortable stupor, then when the movie was over and I got back into my car I started laughing and even now I don't know why. I think "Cats" drove me insane...
Uhhh, you might wanna rethink that cuz it's possible in this movie, the dogs are hellish beasts, big terrifying monsters, Hey if the mice and bugs also get faces and are anthropomorphic, just imagine what the dogs are like

Maggie Mae Fish did a really great video about this movie. She points out that while Lloyd Webber didn't himself put anything into the story (they're just cats), he still directly quoted the Elliot book. As a result, there are still ghosts of Elliot's message: teaching Fascism/Racism to people.

Not so long time ago certain Polish reviewer did a review of this movie and compared it to the original musical. Thanks to him I now understand why the original was cool. "The Horror Event of 2019!" Does it mean, the Halloween Havoc is upon us?

I'm surprised you didn't mention how the original pitch for the film adaption was for it to be animated. If you look it up you can find the planned art style was beautiful and unique. I even heard rumors that Steven Spielburg was involved. While I personally never saw the musical, I can imagine that any cats fan would be disappointed that they didn't get a glorious animated version, but instead a hot-garbage CGI nightmare
What was the takeaway? A cat is not a dog. "What an enlightening message," I happily thought to myself, leaving the theater. "Best thirteen bucks I ever spent. Now, this is why we go the movies! To be challenged and inspired!"
Crimes this adaptation of the musical has committed include casting Grizabella as a much younger character as opposed to how she usually is (yes, she HAS been played by younger actresses but most of the time she has been played by elder actresses because she is an elderly cat, a former glamour cat) and the designs. The ones in the musical and in the 1998 movie are definitely how they should have looked in this. When Scooby Doo On Zombie Island has less scary cat-creatures than this, you know you've messed up. When the Sleepwalkers from Sleepwalkers are less horrifying by comparison, you know you've screwed up.

And I don't think it does make Cat in the Hat look better. This has great music from very talented singers and great choreography and set designs. What does Cat in the Hat have? Plus, if there were sexual innuendos in this, I'm sure they were unintentional due to how the cats' tails move. The Cat in the Hat had them completely intentional.

The Honest Reviews likely take longer to make due to the amount of research, editing and so forth. Erod will likely get the MCU reviews, but he has a day job that takes up much of his time. We just have to be patient.
