Oh lovely, there is a pretty big mistake. In LG Pikachu you get a Persian from that NPC, meaning the numbers are the same. I read she always gives you Arcanine, but this is clearly wrong, this is why you always double-check your sources!!!

I've been doing some research on Black and White catch 'em alls: In Black, you cannot catch: Petilil, Lilligant, Solosis, Duosion, Reuniclus, Rufflet, Braviary, Thundurus, and Zekrom. (There are also national dex exclusives but I'll ignore those). In White, you cannot catch: Cottonee, Whimsicott, Gothita, Gothorita, Gothitelle, Vullaby, Mandibuzz, Tornadus, and Reshiram. There are the starters, so let's say I go with Snivy. That locks 6 pokemon out, being the Tepig and Oshawott lines. Out of the 152 non-mythical Unovan pokemon, we can only catch 137. In addition, Conkeldurr, Gigalith, Karrablast, and Escavalier are unobtainable because they have to be traded. You have to make a choice between Tirtouga and Archen from Fossils. Let's say I pick Archen. That locks out Tirtouga and Carracosta. So our total is 131/152. Not bad. If I've missed something, please tell me.
@@Zenithal1843 The total is 130/152, actually. You cannot get Landorus with one game, since you need both Thundurus and Tornadus. You cannot get Zorua or Zoroark without event Pokemon or trading from sequels. You can however, get both Grass-type lines, due to an in-game trade where you trade Petilil/Cottonee for the other one.
the fact that you didn't talk about getting the pokemon through pokemon go, or getting mew/meltan/melmetal is surprising, because those pokemon are part of this new kanto dex and that's worth talking about.

Pokemon Let’s Go has not only made it so you can catch more Pokemon to fill in the Pokédex but completing the Pokédex is now the easiest it’s ever been due to the GO Park where you can easily transfer Pokemon like the version exclusives or rare Pokemon that are hard to find from Pokemon GO to Pokemon Let’s Go and can complete the Pokédex within a matter of hours if you have enough Pokemon to transfer.
other games that used wonder trading also made it easier however without the ability to trade from other games it can be hard to get version exclusive pokemon for someone such as myself who doesnt have any friends that also play pokemon games
But I believe if your phone lacks NFC you can't use go parks. Also I believe if your phone is running a custom ROM or is rooted/jailbroken you also cant use go parks

Really don't like the new way of catching. Pokémon needs its fights. Legend catching always was terrible in my opinion, and now it feels like every encounter is a legend.... and with that i mean the great experience of failing over and over again. Also the motion capture simply results in painful hands and arms.
I have nothing against catching it, but I thought that it would be nice to give us choice like either fight to gain experience points, or to catch new Pokemon.
I'd very likely watch your vids even if they were of a different game. Your dedication and thoroughness is rather enjoyable. Heck, I don't even play a "Let's Go" pokemon game and I watched this whole thing.

I have LGP, and I sat in that SAME patch of grass trying to catch 2 Scyther (one for me, one to trade with my sister so we could complete each other's dexes). It took me over S I X hours to catch 2 Scyther. The first one ran away. The other two just refused to spawn. I think that was the worst of the rare ones, getting another Dratinin for my Living Dex took a short while but nowhere near six hours.
I’m borrowing a friend’s LGE, could I enlist your help to complete the dev to get the shiyncharm? The only other person who has a let’s go game has Eevee.
A note about aiming pokeballs- if you use the switch in handheld mode it makes a much easier and cleaner catching method, you just aim exactly at the center of the screen so you have to be careful not to move too much (or, you could possibly put something on the center to note) but otherwise it's pretty easy.
Theres a bit of a mistake near the end. You dont have to trade. These are called Lets Go for a reason - They allow you to send mons over from Go. Its this game's selling point. Not to mention how to obtain the Meltan line.

You can actually make rarer pokemon spawn more frequently by chain comboing other pokemon up to about 11 and increases some for rare then 21 increases it more and 31 increases it the most. Edit: oh you bring it way into the video xD mb xD.
Imma just put it out there: Most of the version exclusives in LGPE are really easy to get in Pokemon Go, so ye. Though I get if you only want to use Switch games. Just saying that going forward you may need to consider Go as well. Luckily its free, not too hard, and if you can get some friends and do some trades it makes it a bit easier.
Man, i just don't get why does this game have so much stuff and so little at the same time, why is there no breeding, no sevii islands, no national dex, at least as far as we got in the FRLG remakes. Why do we have no online trading this time around. Why can't we just go straight forwards and just get the best pokemon game we could instead of taking a step or two backwards? Why do we get some new stuff, but lose stuff each generation.
I'm glad breeding is dead, it was just a randomized, eugenics simulator anyway, maybe if it allowed you to customize the appearance (skin color) and gender of the baby pokemon I would be down with it. Besides that, this game is more of "pokemon go" spin off, the main feautures are being saved for the next mainline game

I found that part a little confusing as well... I mean, I do get that what Jrose meant to say is exactly what @Wafty K is writing about here. But then, it does only refer to one type of skill: reflexes/precision. But to me, the “old” catching method did not require “no skill”, imho. Just a different set of skills, that is tactical/strategical skill. While knowing the equations can give you planning security, one could argue that the part where you choose/buy your balls, your leading Pokemon, its move set etc. and the execution in battle requires some of said strategic skill. But oh well just my 2 cents - and it’s a great video after all, I really don’t want to sound too negative here!

Actually if you start a chain the odd of a rare pokémon spawn increase so you have to do something while you wait!
yup, just chain 11 common trash mons, and bam the rare spawns are suddenly moderately common, especially if paired with a lure

I absolutely despise the new capture mechanics. The overworld encounters were nice but I'd prefer the original style or at least a mix of both

Island Boy I disagree. Breeding was a really cool feature which has helped me countless times throughout the games to trade and complete living dex.

While knowing the equations can give you planning security, one could argue that the part where you choose/buy your balls, your leading Pokemon, its move set etc. and the execution in battle requires some of said strategic skill.
But oh well just my 2 cents - and it’s a great video after all, I really don’t want to sound too negative here!
