The first of the commercials already scared me like the scene where the guy gets out of the car and another fast car hits him, I felt like my soul was leaving my body In 0.5 seconds💀 The TAC is definitely the second legend of safe road Psa's
😂 hooray, another PSA real from someone else who enjoys PSA’s. I’m glad to know that there are other people out there who enjoy the same kind of stuff that I do.
babe wake up new loogi balloogi PSA compilation dropped (oh my fucking god I LOVE your PSA compilations so much i jumped out of my seat when I got the notification for this vid 😭😭😭)
I love this countdown! Some of my favourite memories are watching PSAs from the TAC for the first time when I first found out about the community on TH-cam. Whilst I had seen all of these before I really appreciate how well chosen all of the picks are. At every point I felt like something should be higher but after I saw what came next I understood. I also really like how the top 5 aren’t necessarily some of their most famous, but genuinely some very underrated ones, particularly #5 which I had almost forgotten existed. Overall another amazing countdown. Always good to see a new countdown from you!
I used to watch these and never knew someone who drove drunk and crashed. It was just like wow that is just dumb behavior and sadness. Now many years later, my friend’s cousin is in jail for many duis. I can see how hard it is for my friend to know his cousin is in jail for a long time. These adverts really hits home a bit now sadly.
I think the real danger of the "Never & Never More" PSA (No.13) was distracted driving. I mean, the guy had his eyes and mind on his girlfriend Julie all the time and he hadn't seen the truck right up until the last moment! Drink driving makes you slower to react, but Julie was a distraction. At least that's what I see.
2:21 this is why we always look before getting out 💀 edit: even when I am a little high at least I still have good judgment on looking before getting out 🤣🤦♂️
Time to see how many of these are old and how many are recent ;) Edit: if Swap is 20 then wtf is 1!? Edit 2: this is an impossible task. So many to choose from. Nice work.
But I've noticed that not over from an observation of watching these videos, but also as a real life bicycle road user that how many pedestrians don't look & thoroughly check the road before crossing it. Their too busy on their smart-ass phone or not paying attention!
Hello, nice to meet you, I once saw a public service announcement that lasted about 10 seconds, you could see in first person a man getting into the car in a leather jacket, lighting a cigarette and crashing. Do you happen to know how to locate it?
Ok i have a problem with the third PSA. It wouldn't have mattered if the driver was going 10 km/h less because the idiot that gets hit stepped directly in front of the vehicle after having watched one go by. He would have seen the other car that hit him. Then the PSA acts like the soul blame is on the driver and not the pedestrian that A: didn't cross in a proper area and B: wasn't paying attention. Too many of these PSAs ignore personal responsibility.
You're missing the point. Yes, the pedestrian may not be crossing in the correct place and/or wasn't paying attention, I get that. However, the fact of the matter is that the pedestrian has walked into the road. Regardless of whether they were paying attention or not, you need to stop the car. if you react to them while driving at 60km/h, you'll either be able to stop in time, or you'll hit then at a speed where the most they'll get is a bruised leg. If you react to them while travelling 70km/h (+10), you WILL hit them at a speed which will do them permanent damage, or even kill them. You won't be able to stop the car in time, and that's YOUR fault, not the pedestrian's.
The first PSA is dumb because this is what happened: The drunk guy went and let the *not* drunk girl drive but because the car was going *way* too fast for some random reason and the guy didn’t check before he got out, he got smacked and so on happened. All that had nothing to do with drunk driving. He did the right thing, that car hitting him had nothing to do with anything.
You're right about one thing in your comment: it's nothing to do with drunk driving. In fact, he's not drunk, he's high. Although he did the right thing in swapping drivers, he didn't look before getting out of the car. He didn't look because he was so high that it impaired his ability to make good decisions. He wasn't careful and stepped straight out in front of a car. The point of the ad is to show that all aspects of road safety become impaired when you're on drugs, including getting in and out of your vehicle. It's not just the driving but also how you get to your car. Sadly, many people walk straight in front of passing cars because they're too impaired to look properly.
@@AlienWithABoxthis 100%. looking before you get out a car isn’t even just something you are supposed to know, you’re taught it in driving lessons actually to check your mirrors before you get out of the car, so i think this is a very clever ad in the way that it shows that he’s so impaired that he can’t even do something so simple to save his life. what a shame that so many people drive under the influence every day

TAC will always be the best at scaring viewers with driving related issues. That’s why I love it.
