    I'm finishing up the total ("frame off") restoration of a 1960 - ROCK-OLA JUKEBOX TEMPO 2. What a complex machine, particularly the "mechanical, magnetic memory". It's been a challenge and a joy to restore this vintage machine.

      How nice that you can restore those vintage beauties. I love the older models where you can see the records drop and spin. Just so much fun. I'd love to have one at home, full of my favorite 45's. One day, when I have the space.

    Great video , Thanks ! For a number of years i had a Accountant that worked out of a office that was attached to his home and he and his wife had a Anyique Jukebox that not only fit the decor it sounded great playing ! They also had working Vintage Coca Cola Vending machines ! And would supply you with as many nickels as you wanted

    And as for AMI, they are also called Rowe Jukeboxes from 1963-present.

    I built my own juke that's software-based. The license was $25, though there are now free versions on Gnu-Linux. Though there is no wicked-cool mechanism to watch, I have over 8000 song titles.

    I'd stay with the juke the way it was built..I grew up in the 70s and dropped many quarters to hear a song on 45 that I liked..I'd NEVER buy a juke converted to play CD or mp3..I ll take the snap crackle and pop of old vinyl ANYDAY over some conversion..I own a seeburg m100c , full of doo wop on VINYL, AND I own two Rock olas 1975 and 75 with VINYL for the times..fk all those conversions !

    The First Stereo Jukebox, was The Seeburg 220, and then the Seeburg 222, almost identical to the 220, except for the fact The 222 held more records....

      Yes, that's right Owen. We actually have a Seeburg 220 on display in our showroom at the moment, really nice original example with great sound - www.homeleisuredirect.com/jukeboxes/vintage-jukeboxes/seeburg-220-vinyl-jukebox.html

    LOL... it's not "Ammie," it's A-M-I. Initials, spelled out.

      The British call it that way

    • @northlight1908
      @northlight1908 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@5203bill Right, I just think it's funny... here's a jukebox brand made in the USA, with initials that originally stood for Automatic Music, Inc. The name is pronounced with its initials, "A-M-I." That's the correct way. Just because the Brits and other Europeans have bought up and imported all of our USA jukeboxes doesn't change the correct American pronunciation.
