Thanks for sharing this film. A good movie well worth the watch. I moved to the Rochester area in the fall of 1973, and I remember these horrific murders really touching the residents of Rochester and its suburbs. I hope that new eyes are working this cold case today. I love that the movie was filmed on location.
I looove-d this movie. My concern is for the well being of the wonderful young woman detective. I wish the end was not so vague. Upn reading the comments....one person mentioned that s-he hoped they solve this cold case in Rochester......so it has NOT been solved. I would like to follow it up. OH! Megan i wish you are getting well. I thank you for this download. Great movie!

@@TheWanderer-jk5dt those are more "goth fashion shows" than films with a good story. If u want REAL horror, that u won't rewatch - midsommar, requiem for a dream, the exorcist. Check those out. Manhunter is one of my fav crime dramas but def not close to "horror".
good movie! message around schizophrenia ...its real, and you truly need supportive people. a close friend has it, a former nurse and she is on meds and a bloody super supportive husband, she is so so lucky! she has it controlled and she is a lovely person too! and yes, Pedophile, another reality of today...movie with societal issues of today...
This is a good movie..... Realistic speaking when a suspect is killed during the commission of a crime, the master of arms immediately takes possession of the officers side arm...... A righteous kill is called by the master of arms.........If not the smell of death lingers on the police officers uniform, vehicle.....We as those who took the oath to serve and protect, broken collarbone on the right side of the law, know this to be true and correct......Murder is murder...... regardless of who you are.......I am retired, work on cold cases of missing and murdered females across the USA...
Megan was too unstable and had full body jitters. she should never have been allowed back into the police force. shooting at nothing, was a danger to everyone. Didnt she "get him" in the river, or was there 2 doing the crimes. bit confusing the last few minutes of movie ?
I think the last part was just her imagination, from the father making the unlikely change of story and the man in a wheelchair that can suddenly walk and disappears in thin air.
She is definitely unstable and dangerous. She accidentally come to know who the killer was because of the cat, her visions of those girls made no sense. Corrupt police, wrong person jailed for the crimes and the killer is free to strike again, wow!
The idea of a mentally ill detective had promise, but things were so heavy handed that it strained credulity. A subtler approach might have worked. The twist with the killer was too much as well. C+

Eliza Dushku has played so many fantastic parts, even back in late 1997 TV shows always superb actress 👏
