a 27 in would lose too much string tension, you could switch to heavier gauges like 70 or 80 but it would lose a lot of agility and clarity on the lower end. you could offset that with a 30 in, but at that size your hand is way too small haha. plus, using an 8 string means you can do most of your phrasing higher on the fretboard, especially with stuff like open strings and arpeggios / runs.
Your tone is fire 🔥 great job 💪
Thanks a heap! 🤘🏻

This is cool, I'm just curious what the advantage is of the 8 string here instead of tuning a 27" 6 string down to F#?
Thanks dude!
It’s just easier when the 8 string is already ready to go. String attack works and sounds better under “proper” tension imo. 🤘🏻

Is this an Ibanez LACS?
Na dude, I customised it myself.
It was an RG28FE Iron label originally. 🤘🏻
What tuning are you using?
It’s drop A on the 7th and drop E on the 8th string. 🤘🏻
Is this your full tuning? E, A, E, A, D, G, B, E@@dazmetal 8 string noob here...
@@viper7777 the actual tuning you want is F, A#, D#, G#, C#, F#, A#, d#.
Thanks!@@Southboundpachyderm
