- First Sea Day on the Disney Wonder! 🌊✨
Our first sea day on the Disney Wonder has been nothing short of magical! Although we're still battling jet lag, it led to an early start and a full day of adventure.
Early Morning: Duck Army 🦆
We kicked off the day by hiding our duck army around the ship for other travelers to find. It's always fun spreading a bit of joy and watching people discover our hidden surprises.
Breakfast at Triton’s 🍳
We headed to Triton's for breakfast where we enjoyed a delicious omelette and a hearty cooked breakfast. Triton's is elegantly themed, evoking the underwater kingdom of Ariel with its stunning décor and tranquil ambiance.
Meeting Moana 🌺
After breakfast, we made our way to the atrium to meet Moana. Her cheerful presence and adventurous spirit always bring a smile to our faces.
Exploring the Oceaneer Lab 🚀
Next, we explored the Oceaneer Lab during its open house. This amazing space is designed for kids to let their imaginations run wild with themed play areas, interactive activities, and lots of Disney magic. Sam had a blast climbing Andy's bed and sliding down the Slinky Dog slide! It’s like stepping into a world of endless fun and creativity.
Scenic Inside Passage 🏞️
We then took a moment to watch the stunning scenery of the Inside Passage. The land felt so close, it seemed like we could almost reach out and touch it. The views were absolutely breath taking.
Lunch at Cabanas 🌮
Lunchtime took us to Cabanas where we enjoyed delicious fish tacos. Fresh, flavourful, and just what we needed to refuel for the rest of the day.
Pool Time 🌧️🏊
Despite the rain, I took a refreshing dip in the pool. It was a serene experience having the pool to myself while the rain gently fell.
The Golden Mickeys at Walt Disney Theatre 🎭
Our next stop was the Walt Disney Theatre for "The Golden Mickeys" show. This spectacular production celebrates Disney’s greatest films and characters with stunning performances, dazzling costumes, and memorable music. It’s a definite favourite of ours on board the Disney ships.
Shopping Spree 🛍️
Back to the shops we went, hoping to find restocked items from yesterday. Lucky for us, the item Sam wanted had been restocked. As they say, happy wife, happy life!
Captain’s Reception 🍹
We then enjoyed the Captain’s Reception in the atrium with complimentary cocktails and beer. It was a lovely way to relax and mingle with fellow passengers.
Dinner at Tiana’s Place 🎷🍽️
Dinner was at Tiana’s Place, a vibrant and lively restaurant inspired by "The Princess and the Frog". With live jazz music and a menu full of Southern charm, it’s always a delightful experience. Brendon, our fantastic server, greeted us at the entrance and led us to our table. Sam opted for the Thanksgiving dinner, while I enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak. For dessert, we savoured a delectable baked Alaska.
Sweet Endings 🧸
We retreated to our room, eager to see what Wisma had prepared for our turndown service. We were delighted to find a towel-made bear waiting on our bed, a perfect end to a perfect day.
