@@ZinGamma it actually does, when you call the police, they will be able to find the personal information and the name assosiated with that licence plate, as it has to be registered to someone. And it'll then allow them to find the person 9/10 times.

Fart Lawyer here. He technically no longer has proof of "privilege" to fart. Rights don't require licensing. But if he's in a West coast state he might still be ok as officers can lookup the status your license to fart based on your standard ID.
I hope that there's an episode later down the line that references that.

Something like this happened to me. I was driving down my own home street when a woman pulled out as I was driving by, making it look like I hit her and not her hitting me. Luckily, my mom (I was a teen) told me that since she didn't want to call our insurance or police, its obvious she was hoping for me to pay to get it fixed to "not have to get insurance involved". I didn't see her again after that, and the "damage" I caused mostly turned out to be damage the SUV already had (a bump won't break tire rods..). She didn't have insurance, and I'm glad my mom figured all of this out for me. It's the only "accident" I've ever been in, too, and at the time I almost believed her until she lied and said I was messing with my radio and wasn't paying attention.

Things like this do happen in real life. That's why the very first thing you need to do is take pictures of the license plate and the driver when you get out to collect other driver's info. Also, everyone should have dashcams nowadays.

Yup. A poor girl rear ended me and I proceeded to rear end a Porche. She only had 5k coverage with the General. She totaled my car 18k and the Porche had over 10k in damage. My insurance company sued her for the remaining balance owed. She was only 18 years old and now stuck with 23k worth of debt

@@Absolutely_puck_fakestine your argument is souly based on a cop not caring so I wouldn't say you have much to bring to the table either, yes you can show the pic, and it's best to immediately take pics after the crash if you're able to for proof, or the number alone is just fine because all they have to do is look up the license plate, which then you could describe the car too to prove your point you saw it and where it was damaged, further leading to the drivers name, ID, address, insurance, their latest speeding tickets, their latest payments on the vehicle, if their tags are expired, etc, where they can simply mail a notice to the address setting a court date since fleeing the scene of an accident is a crime and is at LEAST a fine that has to be paid, not to mention their insurance will probably go to shit because they tried to flee the scene and will skyrocket additionally making their insurance now cost more, but sure, just say fuck cops and they can't do shit right? Also you can turn the license plate number to your insurance company and they can find out all this for you as well, but wtf do I know :)
