I found you when I was searching for online tutoring jobs (retired teacher). Although I never pursued the Chinese avenues, you have been an inspiration to me and others, and I kept watching your videos.

Your ideas of helping ppl by working from home/remotely, being able to be a digital nomad, and financial freedom, I believe resonate both with teachers and those who are searching for these ideas.

I had heard of VIPKId and seen the promotions, but doubted I had the personality that the company had demonstrated in their ads. I just found your videos recently, but years ago I worked for a Chinese company until 2021. I think your other ideas also sound really interesting, and you should absolutely follow where your interests are. Reading the comments, it seems many people are also intrigued about seeing what you have to say on remote work, balancing teaching with your lifestyle, digital nomad life, etc. I look forward to seeing whatever new direction you decide to take!

Yes, the digital nomad and solopreneur space is growing. Freedom and job uncertainty has inspired many people to invest and bet on themselves rather than hoping that companies will provide them stability. Due to AI many tech staff are being laid off from the biggest coolest jobs such as Google, Meta, Amazon, etc. Solopreneurship--is the pivot.

Keep up the good work! As someone the works from home (main job), Side job of remote teaching English and always love a good side hustle, I always enjoy your videos and see value in them. Great news! I’m being asked by colleagues to start a TH-cam channel, like you I’m a teacher, I’m trying to transition to online, but still feel I’m a couple of years away. My hurdle is the amount of channels that are on the internet already, is it too late?
Definitely not too late. Its a good sign that there are lots of channels - people are watching. Its not saturated. Be yourself and find a niche to talk about that people are already watching - its a good sign if others are doing it - you can just do it differently.

Great topic idea! It can certainly look different depending on your type of work, where you want to live, etc..
I want to continue teaching online while going to Australia, China, and different countries.
I just don't know how to practically work out the costs of being a digital nomad, and that it would be sustainable.
