    I wanted to get the SW-Motechs but couldn't find a reseller in the US that had them in stock when I was needing them so I went with Hepco & Becker.

    What’s nice is the bit of brown on the bags , goes with your seat.

    Don't recommend using a magnetic tank bag or any tank bag unless it is the ring mount type where the bag does not touch the tank, which the modern classic line up does not have that type of gas cap. Over time the tank bag will scratch your paint and the magnet will put little dings/dents on the tank. Love the SW-Motech, had some on my old Guzzi and now will get some on my Triumph.

      Must admit to not being keen on magnetic tank bags for the same reason.....I use a Baglux system? The Motech bags look great.

    Really like SW stuff , suits the Bonny …I’m thinking of something similar for my bike but I’d really like it lockable to the frame and also the top opening ,. It’s just when you go for something to eat or a bit of a ramble it’s nice to think it will still be there when you get back . I want it to put my camera bag in as I don’t like stuff on my back or hip

    • @paullee6663
      @paullee6663 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @gerryryan2302 I wouldn't be leaving my expensive camera on the bike ...leave nothing on the bike unattended that you can't afford to lose....I have panniers that the 'linking strap' goes under the seat, then I have locks on the zips of each pannier. I fit the rainproof covers so to a casual observer it looks like they are 'part of the bike'. If someone wants to steal them they will have to cut them off. Should they manage that, they are more than welcome to my dirty laundry (smelly socks included) my toiltries, and loads of other useless stuff...🤣

    You've just answered both questions I asked elsewhere earlier this morning. Interesting to note, the bigger bag almost reaches your exhaust pipe on the right side. I have an SCR950 and am getting a big bag for the left and the small one for the exhaust side. I'm also buying the same tank bag.

    Hi. I see we are walking similar path 😉
    I have also ordered same bags but mounted on SLS belt - however that's what I am not conviced of until I have it mounted ( afraid of balancing them and avoid any side movements ).
    I bought my black T120 on July last year and let me give you a piece of advice regarding tank bag.
    I also had small magnetic tank bag but already sold it.
    I have driven maybe few hundreds km in the summer with it attached on quite clean roads ( not dirt / gravel ) . Motorcycle didn't see the rain either.
    However here are my insights:
    When I removed tank bag I spotted some disturbing scratches and pits very difficult to eliminate.
    Fortunately I have some tools for car detailing and polishing machine and paste made miracles to bring back the tank to a previous condition. Please be very careful with this tank bag and consider to replace it or at least protect the tank with PPF foil.
    All the best. Greetings from Poland 🤚

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi great to hear from another owner. I have used overseas type soft bags before and didn’t get on with them as it rubbed through some paint. So prefer racked system now. On the tank yes I’m super cautious and have some ppf film for big august trip but have just had the bike ceramic coated so should help also. One tip I use on paint, plastic or a Ben black exhausts as I had some small scratches on black exhaust my fault I wiped it with a cloth that had some grit on it. So I use Xerapol plastic polish, works a treat on paint, plastic or exhaust now 👍

    I’ve got the legend gear bags for my speedmaster ,I also got the over seat tail bag , just to let you know it didn’t fit correctly with side bags I had to remove the carrier system off the bags and reposition them close to the top, hence dropping the bag lower towards the exhaust. No big job really & still got clearance from the exhaust, learned the tip off motech f/b page.

    Love the look of the SW Motech luggage but hate the fact you are unable to lock the bags to the bike. So if you leave the bags latched onto your bike...anyone can unlatch the bag and walk away. $200+ priced bags without a locking system is a disappointment.😢

    I have nearly gone spare trying to fit mine to my Silver 2018 T120 ! The left side went on fine but the right bolt holes simply would not align. The seat rail has the passenger grab bar but no rear rack.
    I notice that you started out using the black extra-length bolts for the rear duo bracket, but in the final fitting it appears that you wound up using the original silver Torx bolts...did you encounter any alignment problems with the long black bolts? (called "lenshead screws" in the SW-Motech instructions).
    Anyway, I got them on, but the right side doesn't fit well and I'm dubious about stressing the parts. It looks like Triumph mis-aligned the tapping for the right middle grab-bar hole; or I bent something...but everything is very solid and I didn't over-exert myself. We'll see how it works out

      Hi 👋 thanks 🙏 I am not using the ND4 filter on dark grey days but on sunny ones yes I use it. Always shoot 4k 60fps, all auto settings and on Wide FOV. I don’t use dji mic so can’t comment on those settings but give “Wheelie Good TV” a look as Dave uses the DJI mic. Thanks again John 👍

      No soft bags don’t have locks but I used the sw-Motech tank bag locks to lock the bags to the frames and on the latched I use suitcase wire loop small coded locks. I know they won’t stop a knife cutting through the canvas but what canvas bag will 🤣👍

      Yes it’s a Carcoon. Basically an inflated bubble with fan filtering any moisture out. Also comes with a battery optimiser built in. Great for keeping your bike stored. They do indoor and this is an outdoor version
