I did what you said and there's a small cable/hose/wire running through the frame and to a "square' attached to the inside of the bumper. I can't figure out how to disconnect it. What is this? Once again, a two hour job turns into a four hour job. You didn't cover all of the models.
I know its been a whole year but someone else might find it helpful. That wire is for your parking sensors, one end goes through the whole bumper and the other end goes on the left side of the car. Just carefully remove the black ruber seal and gently pull out the connector, disconnect and done. Sorry for any mistakes, I am not a native english speaker.
