Holy shit this is 7 years old. I might make a new one, I'm a lot better at Blender now lol. thank you everyone for all your kind comments, they do inspire!
This was seriously so helpful! I have for years wanted to get into using Blender, but the second it starts up it can be very intimidating. You made it seem so easy to understand and not so bad to get a grip of. I have subscribed and I am going to be making 3D objects in no time I'm sure! Thank you again for such a helpful guide!
Thanks. This is so helpful. I'm sick of tutorials that'll say click on this little button but never says what button it is or what its used for. It's also very clear and gives enough info about each tool and what it's used for without going overboard or introducing a separate subject at the same time. Thank You!
Ohhhhhh my god I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial! So many tutorials I looked at for making CC kept assuming I was already familiar with blender's interface, keybinds, tools, and other functions, but I couldn't find any useful tutorials for complete beginners! All the tutorials for older versions of blender have either long since been deleted, or were too confusing for my smooth brain to understand But this...this was perfect! thank you so much :>
This is the best Blender tutorial I've found. You explain things quickly, but you cover a lot of information in a very organized, professional way. I've subscribed 😊
here's the steps (i think:p) 1: go into sims 4 studio (you gotta download it) 2: pick the item you want to customize (anything works!) 3:go to the "meshes" tab and click "export mesh". it will export to a .blend file. 4:double click that file to open it in blender. 5: edit, edit, edit away! 6: go back to sims 4 studio 7:click "import mesh", and click your edited mesh. 8: go to the "texture" tab 9:click "export" and name it however you'd like 10: open the file in an editing program. 11:recolor however you choose 12: you're almost done! just import the edited image into sims 4 studio and then save! boom! you made your first cc!
Enjoyed the video! I am wondering when you will be uploading the tutorial on how to make objects ? I've been dying to learn how to create custom content. I can retexture or change the size of an already created object but I want to be able to make my own. Can you help me?
Dear sweat Hannah, I thank you for your tutorial, but I really didn't learn anything new... You do, however, sound like someone who has more blender knowledge then me. So I really hope you can help me! I created a mesh in blender. Now how can I make it so I can import it into sims4studio? Everything I try ends up in an error report, the error: "Your mesh s4studio_mesh_1 has vertex group b_ROOT_ that is not part of the mesh you are replacing", or my mesh ending up inside the mesh I'm trying to replace... I have a mesh ready to go (no doubles or inside faces or whatever - just started from a cube...), now how do I get it to work in the sims4studio?
Quick question to anyone here who has used Blender before…does anyone know if you can use this for Sims 2 content? I have a Mac so things like Milkshape are not usable. I’d love to create some sims to play with, but the Sims 2 is so old now that not much new content comes out for it.
Thanks so much this was real pro anx helpful ! Also one question , this video is abit old and now there's newer versions of blender. Do you think I can't work with 2.8 version?
Are you still active? How can I properly export a mesh from Sims Studio to blender? I have blender but SStudio says I dont have blender, and if I try manually importing a file into blender I camt because SStudio saves files in its own file type that isnt an option on blender's import/open ports (Blender v.2.76a)
hi! i was using blender 2.79 and i had to go back to blender 2.70a because sims 4 studio wont let me export the blender file...it keeps sayin "you are not using blender 2.70, and open the page to download blender ...do you know how to solve this? because i use blender for oher things and i need the latest version ...
@@angelzong6431 In blender 2.79 you can enable emulate 3 button mouse, click File, User Preferences, Input tab and then check the box beside it. Not hating you or anything but you talk way too fast. It’s hard for beginners to catch-up with you. If I didn’t already have the basic knowledge of Blender 3D, I wouldn’t understand what are you talking about. I suggest to talk slower next times. You don’t have to talk fast to sound professional. It’s not a race
totally not click bait... the name of the video is exactly what she talks about. this is actually really helpful for people who don't know much about blender

In one ear out the other, thanks for the video I'll be watching it 30 times over!
Lol
Yeah it's a lot of information at once. But I'm definately saving cause it's great for refreshing my memory on all of this stuff when I get stuck.

I know this is old but this is the first blender video i've watched that wasn't overwhelming so thanks lol.
Whelp, this is still too complicated for me haha, however I am grateful for people like you who take your free time to create tutorials.
This is a much better blender tutorial, than most people who just make tutorials only for blender. Thank you! >v

This is so well made and professional. Reminds me of the Revit and Autocad lessons i took in college. Keep it up, you're really good at this.
Reminds me of Rhino ... ughhh hate revit but so over autocad
Thanks for your clear and concise teaching
I'm so upset this series wasn't contimued
thank you so much for making this! it helps so much since most blender tutorials are completely unrelated to what im making
OMG! Thank you SO much for making this video. It demystifies Blender so well. Great tutorial! Subscribed!

Word is you have to install S4S then Blender. I just read that today as I'm finally diving into the creative side.

In blender sim doesnt wear the mesh I made. After importing the obj file my mesh always too far away from my sim please help me please
VmelSims you can move the object in edit mode, which should fix the problem, or press ctrl+a to set the location after you move it in object mode.
Is the 2.70a what I need to work with sims 4 studio to work with hair meshes?

You can download blender on steam
What if you dont have a middle mouse button because you have a laptop
You can enable emulate 3 button mouse under user pref, input, mouse. Hope this helps ^_^.
