I'm Brazilian and can I be honest? I sometimes watch your videos because it's a tangible way of getting to know the world. That is not anti-American propaganda. The film on the bridge tells the history of the area and the bridge, the Korean War. Many foreigners have filmed videos there. But this person made up a lot of content for traffic and storytelling. What is even more ridiculous is that North Korea's isolation and poverty are the result of decades of blockade and embargo by the United States using economic and military hegemony. Now an American plays God and comes to the North Korean border to mock this poor country.

Don't think everyone are willing to let you film them publicly or secretly, especially you are asking them question that may involve western agenda, I think that may make some Chinese and North Korean working there feel uncomfortable and get them into trouble (just like you say something bad and not anthorized about your company publicly in you name, the company officier may warn you or even fire you).
The broken bridge was destoryed by US bombers during the Korean War, and the US bombers also crossed the border to bomb a lot of places in China. That is why there are sculptures and video telling about the history of Korean War near that river. But you seems to be not interested in that part of history as a visitor, and alwasy try to stick with your own agenda as a propagandist.

Bro, there are 56 ethnic groups in China, and the Korean ethnic group is one of them. I have a very good friend who is Korean ethnic, but he is Chinese.
@@Ben-.- This is normal. Han culture has a profound influence on neighboring countries, such as South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, etc., not to mention other ethnic groups in China. We do not reject the customs of other ethnic groups. In fact, if you look at the ancient buildings of ethnic minorities in Yunnan, they are also in Han style. The Tibetans in Sichuan and Yunnan have also been assimilated into the Han culture, which is not a problem; they still retain their own ethnic customs and habits.Muslims do not celebrate the Han Chinese New Year, they celebrate their own festivals.
There are cameras almost everywhere in China, not only on the China-North Korea border, but also on the China-Vietnam border, China-Myanmar border, etc. Most Chinese people don't worry about government surveillance at all, because we think it is a kind of protection for the people. Because if a bad guy commits a crime, the police will catch him quickly. This is one of the reasons why the crime rate in China is very low. As we said: when you gain something, it also means you lose something (得失). So we choose to sacrifice privacy in public places while gaining a safe public place. This is also another sense of freedom: one can walk alone late at night without worrying about safety issues, even if you are a lady. This may be the difference between Eastern and Western cultures.
Yeah. Maybe you get the government watch your apartments as well to avoid robbery, theft or sexual harrasment. Europeans are thankfully not stupid enough to sacrifice their freedom for a marginal lower crimerate.
Western countries also have many cameras in public places especially in Western big cities, but most Western people have not noticed yet... For example in London, cameras are also everywhere, just like in Beijing!
The US military on General MacArthur's command bombed parts of Dandong. This was when the Chinese volunteer army moved in. The amazing thing about the Korean war was that the Americans had complete control of the air space because the Chinese didn't have planes at the time! The US also had the support of many allies providing both military and aid support. One would think that the US would have won this battle but it was pushed all the way back to the 28th parallel border, and that concluded the Korean war. Also, the bit when the the South Korean said that parts of Dandong was wierd and a little scary, parts of Seoul and the rest of south Korea looks like that as well lol

I went to DanDong about 20 years ago, while visiting China. I lived in Taiwan and speak pretty good Chinese, but it was my first trip to the mainland. My overriding memory was how the Chinese side was bustling, especially at night, with bright lights, music, restaurants and families out walking along the promenade. Meanwhile, just across the river, it was deserted. A city, but no lights, no people other than occasional guards. They even had a ferrris wheel though it never moved in the couple of days I was there. Occasionally I would see lights at night, but it was only ever trucks or trains going back or forth. I had previously been to the NK border with South Korea, and that was a very different feeling, as the NK side was trying to put on a show to make things look better, although their "propaganda" village was half-built, stalled thorugh lack of resources and also deserted.

The lady said "They can't understand because they're Chinese"
at around 10:00 minutes, there is no way you convinced a security official that you are not a spy. like someone else had mentioned, this is overly dramatic.
It's so hilariously funny, old Drew kidd, you blurred your (North) Korean Chinese guide's face that you claimed to protect her, but you are fully aware that there are CCTV cameras everywhere!! So???
Well, one big difference is that the CCTV footage isn't going up on TH-cam, while a TH-camr's footage does...

I pray that Donald Trump comes into power. Donald Trump has made us realize the importance of saving in digital currency, which I have already started doing, and I’m always happy about that.
My life has totally changed since I started with $7,000 and now I make $ 29,450 every 11 days.

But then, what do you do? How do you come about that in that period?
Big thanks to Mrs Christian Evelyn Mackie
It is simply the digital market. That's been the secret to this wealth transfer. A lot of folks in the US amd abroad are getting so much from it, God has been good to my household Thank you Jesus
I'm Brazilian and can I be honest? I sometimes watch your videos because it's a tangible way of getting to know the world. It's funny that you comment on ''anti-American propaganda'' on the bridge, when you literally went there to make anti-China, anti-Korean propaganda, all of which is allowed, I say, I don't want it to sound like an offense, but when someone tries to explain the context history of somewhere, or even a tip, or even trying to know the history of the place you visit, makes visits richer.
@@tiaoyi-bx5yi u r right

Amigo, hora alguma ele fez campanha anti Korea ou anti China ele simplesmente narrou os fatos. Os fatos em si são anti comunista.
Friend, I think he didn’t talk against North Korea or china, he just spoke facts, the facts are against communist
People has the right to ask you to delete the footage that take their faces, it is a basic human right in China, called "肖像權" which is protected by the Civil Code of PRC.
肖像权doesn't protect you from being filmed in public, stop pretending you know the law of PRC and gives out wrong legal advice
@@underhorse5367😂why do you think you know China more than the Chinese who lives there
It's not the people being filmed asking him to delete the footage, it's some neighborhood watch guy who asked him to delete. It's not to protect the identiry of the interviewee, it's to prevent foreign spys.
@@underhorse5367 there are many situations where publicity rights do not apply on being publicly filmed but this one actually fits this law, cuz the clip was almost exclusively about this person and whoever was filming is definitely monetised for it currently. Also it actually does not matter if it applies or not bc most ppl are under the impression that it does, hence explaining why they act this way. And morally speaking is it not fair or just to ask for cut or deletion when you don't want to make an appearance on someone else's filming? I think it is
Bro, there are 56 ethnic groups in China, and the Korean ethnic group is one of them. I have a very good friend who is Korean ethnic, but he is Chinese.
Yes
56 ethnic groups but China is very homogenous in general because over 90% of the population is ethnic Chinese (Han).

It’s not a eastern culture thing, it’s a CCP thing
所謂私隱, 自由, 在全世界通行都是一個偽命題, 世上沒絕對自由, 在有其人存在的地方就沒有所謂私隱, 包括在家里室內, 當有其他家庭成員在時, 私隱就破了.

@@NoComment-hh3rnthey don’t cross over in dandong, if you go up north a little there’s zero guard on the Chinese side, very easy to cross. I say this because my hometown is near there and everybody in the village has seen North Koreans crossing illegally, it’s no big deal, majority of them are not political refugees just people trying to get a better life. Sad thing is lots of the women get human trafficked once they crossed the border by their smugglers.

They live a normal life but americans make a big deal, you want to be that PITA all the time
I went to DanDong about 20 years ago, while visiting China.

You try to make friends with everyone, which is very adorable and endearing - but don't be afraid to say your objective FIRST and get it out of the way, and THEN go into the pleasantries.
It may yield better results and very seldom will anyone find it offensive or rude.
Particularly when coming from a foreigner!
When was the last time you talked to anyone who was visiting your country and didn't speak the language, and found it rude if they come up and say "help please" or something of the like.
Ty for allowing us to get a great feel of what it would be like if someone were to just "go there to see what it's s really like".
