You're probably not going to solve that problem with better mechanics. Wiggly muscles is inherent to humans and compliance is required to not drop and break things. Humans fix it by training a better low latency control system to dampen the shaking so they solution would be the same here. Also the same for counteracting large bounces, increase the force before the bouncing starts

I'd say it's a better option to design it using the muscle structures of different animals instead of humans and try to incorporate high tension silicone and polymer tendon like structures for better strength retension, the hands should be simpler at the start of more mobile prototypes though should help in cutting out some complexity if a model ends up being designed for heavy labour and stability

from my point of view , animal like machines , let's say ox shaped or dear shaped , would work greate in a farming setting, ( the heads being interchangeable tool modules ) , for plantation, harvesting , maintaining of more pretentious crops like cotton ,rice and fruit trees , removing the need for human hand gathering or potential accidents . This said such machine would require bigger frames in case of large plantation or smaller ones for more mobility, thus having a carbon fiber or graphene composit , skeleton like frame would be the best option and cheapest in the near future taking in acount the increase in graphene for industrial use . As for energy usage , in built bio fuel engines ( a solution of ethanol and vegetable oils most likely as liquid fuel ) or for larger machines refracting solar panels would be an option, especially for long bodied large machine that needs to pick coton with head mounted appendages under the texas sun . As for the programing of the machine I see a lot of people tryng to focus on it being able to conect with a lot of networks and what not , but I find it redundant and wasteful resource wise , when you could have a mechanic waching over an off grid machine with limited learning capabilities . Being thud able to be more or less taught what it needs to do , what it can do , what to avoid, and most importantly, be able to distinguish something alive so it doesn't stomp on anything. Being able to respond to commands from only certain people or with adequate low range interfaces would also be needed. In summary , animal like machines need to be relatively cheap and repairable, be easily refuled and cooled , and be able to be taught like an obedient trained animal not a human .

Water is not the same as hydraulic fluid in that water is NOT compressible. Hydraulic fluid, (oil), is compressible. Water is also a lot less messy with leaks etc during development phase.
There are some specialized robots and systems that do use water hydraulics, particularly in food processing or medical applications where contamination risks need to be minimized

It is a mistake to try and mimic the flawed human form. The robots of the future will be able to move FAR differently than humans.
Boston Dynamics Atlas robot has some superior movements eg getting backup backwards. And humans have survived to be apex & can still improve range of motions.

No it won’t be! Muscle action should be almost point based to mimic or surpass human form and function.
How about creating something that solves the world peace puzzle/problem. Like maybe harnessing the power of the mind. Everyone has a mind, so everyone would benefit from such a creation.
