If one correctly comprehends the Terminator series movies and how seriously it's quite saturated in science fantasy/fiction mixed with a minority of the actual God-created universe we subsist in, they will not be in fear of some supposed Skynet future where a very advanced super logic/arithmetic computation machine _[logic machine = a computer]_ gets inhabited with a spirit _[demon]_ and is able to manipulate space and time and use some form of time-travel ability to send spirit-possessed androids _[Terminators]_ back into the past having the ability to be clothed in synthetic flesh hair eyeballs etc to hunt those who seek to destroy the "AI" main super-computer etc. Quite a fantasy land.

"Al isn't coming for human jobs" Personally, I think people should stop saying this, even as a joke or with the "yet" on it. There's no value in that narrative. It WILL take a majority of jobs, possibly by the end of this decade, and we need to start preparing for that eventuality, right NOW! I lost my career path to Al last winter, and I know half a dozen other people who've also lost jobs to Al since last year! This IS coming, and the longer we delay adapting our society and economy, the more unfair it will get. but for my robust investment portfolio that I'd built over the years with my financial advisor, Abby Joseph Cohen, I'd be hungry and homeless

I have a good idea. How about they make units capable of space flight. Instead of humans being in danger of long range missions like Mars, we have units controlled by vr headsets and a haptic suit to control space crafts with long range communications. It keeps us put of danger given we are organic and focuses on better durability of spacecraft being used.

@@RemnantDiscipleLazzaro-Rev1217 I object to your characterization. HARD science fiction is a different beast, as it adheres strictly to accepted or reasonably predictable science, in its prognostications. Someone who has an iffy understanding of science cannot write it acceptably. Unfortunately hard sci fi is a rare beast. But it is really the only kind I like, as other "sci fi" is sometimes so flubby that it is really nothing more than Fantasy, in which the so called "rules" are so loosely adhered to that it becomes a kind of self delusion to read much of it at all.
To wit, Hard Science Fiction authors MUST know science and it's rules, to be able to write HSF.

The introduction is pretty much all that you need. We can tell and see that AI will learn from itself and learn that it has mistakes and then try to fix its own mistakes. It constantly tries to increase its intelligence and perfect itself over the course of you just writing a few lines of dialogue telling it what to focus on. So if you tell it to focus on how to move more like a human it will study all of the human movement through any type of photographic evidence and visual cues and then constantly incorporate that into its modus operandi

For all of you wondering why people are making all of these robots. Its because the robots, once fully advanced, can replace human jobs. eg. Farming, cooking. This will make companies a lot of money as they do not need to hire workers, and so the company's would buy the robots, in turn allowing the people who make the robots, to make a lot of money. Also, if they are going to be advanced enough to replace us, then maybe by the time they replace all of our jobs, they will sort out world hunger and other problems allowing everyone to be able to afford food, water and shelter, regardless of background.

Now incorporating this hydraulic muscles into a working robot and doing it without using up great amounts of energy is another thing. Maybe in a few years we'll have solid state batteries to power up this one. Hanson Robotics and everyone else that wants to mimic human beings should look into this really great idea! I am an inventive person and I have invented a few things but being a nobody doesn't get me noticed. I now have one invention that the prototype was so easily built with off the shelf parts it might be a matter of a short while before we get to a Blade Runner society because my invention has a lot to do with that futuristic setup and being in Silicone Valley should get me noticed!

@irisflow7461 You know, I completely understand what your meaning is. I'm a long time technologists. I'm involved with computer networking and IT hardware and software systems. To a certain extent, some of it is advancement, but what you seem to be missing is that it's not progressing when we humans become increasingly less relevant. In the end, the ones who don't think this through and believe it's a good idea are the very few that will benefit from it. The average person will not have access to this tech unless it's on a pay by the minute basis. So many technological advancements were initially promoted as advancements. Purportedly needed to make our lives easier, healthy, and less expensive. On all accounts, the opposite has happened for the average person. Replace your preprogrammed mental conditioning with a dose of historical reality. We are not and never will be machines. Making an automaton even more lifelike is not wisdom. It's spiritual warfare.

Inaccurate. "Humanoid Robots" is idiot English - it's tautology . The English word Android is from the Greek "Andros" _[man]_ means 'like man" which the factual definition is referring to a mechanical machine that looks like a man, and was used in theatres back in the day and some still exist. In correct Science Fantasy/Fiction, it still means that, a mechanical machine that looks like a man like C3PO. If you learn what the factual etymology to "Robot' is _[from the Czech "Robota"]_ it all makes sense why it's correct to state "Android" not "Humanoid Robot". Also, *****only living creatures are autonomous, sigh.***** So sick and tired of never-ending damn lies by the advertising/marketing industry.
