The albatross the new 2022 moto guzzi v100 mandello for the gal who enjoyed riding the BmW RNine...By the way thought you guys would have swapped bikes but at least you both sat on the R18 which does come with forward controls and "Leg Rest ( AKA Highway pegs)" that go on top of the R18's cylinder heads. Maybe the 2022 triumph rocket 3 would give Mr. bunny enough room to stretch out his legs

Thanks Ruby, yeah at6'4 and size 12 shoes, I had no place to put my feet and would often scrape the front of the boot on the floor whilst cornering. Great bike, performance and handling but the engine restricts comfort

I love the looks of the bike that Brian was ridin. Gotta say, those roads are so narrow that I'm scared for y'alls safety from on coming vehicles. Anyway, other than that another excellent video. And think I'll go have some scrambled eggs.
The bike looks and feels great, just the foot position and the sticking out engine makes it difficult to ride. Yeah the roads we have are super narrow

Caroline, the R9T is supposed to be a "cafe racer," which means low-ish handlebars and that's what tips you forward and puts pressure on your bits. I would recommend you try its sister bike, the R1250R, a roadster. This would give you all the advantages of the bike you were on, but with a more upright riding position which is more comfortable all round. Nice film, cheers!
Would that not be too tall? The lady in the Swiss videos was on one and it’s huge
@@BunnyKingHogs Are we talking about the same bike? Google a picture of the R1250R and check. Like most beemers it can come with a low, regular or tall seat. I use a tall seat but my 5ft 7ins brother-in-law can manage fine with the regular one.
The made me laugh so hard I almost spilled my cappuccino. Love your blogs. Best part of riding is you can just take random bikes for a ride as the dealership wants feedback from everyone so why not have fun.

@@BunnyKingHogs I have a Iron 883 2017 I wanted a Indian Scout Rogue but the waiting list is over 12 months long, so kind of lost interest. The Dyna Lowrider ST is my Fav with the full stereo but that's just me. The idea of a nice v-twin with Black sabbath or marillion appeals.
My Honda dealership has 2 with less than 1000km on them. Their sister store in the interior is also a bmw dealer and shipped them. Unlike my Valkyrie Interstate with the flat 6 you can't put highway pegs on the r18. At least I can't see how unless they make some massive bar off the front frame. The jugs are just too big. Oh guy said to put your feet on the passenger pegs like sport bike riders do. My Valkyrie you can mount highway pegs down low just in front of the engine heads on each side

Both really good bikes. Although both were very uncomfortable and we needed to stand and stretch quite a bit. Pretty sure better seats and change of bar position would sort it though

R18 Rider so how many times would you say that you scrapped the pegs when cornering.
My front of my boots would say alot. You just cant keep your feet out the way so any slight lean and my size 12s were dragging on the floor

Someone has to do this so here we go for the groan: what an eggcellent video - always felt what was missing from your videos were more egg facts. I agreed with Brian on the R18 - great bike but they have made it really uncomfortable with the foot pegs. When I rode one I really struggled with gear changes and being comfortable.

Brian thought he would break his foot at some point or be pulled off because it kept catching on the floor with that bike.

I ride the Racer version of the R-Nine-T, even more stretched riding position, suits me just fine, I guess I'm built like some kind of Urang-Utang. You've been wheeling along on a sofa too much! ;-) I actually don't like the seating position of cruisers...too much bumping on my spine...on the Nine-T (or any sportier bike) you can at least distribute your weight. I guess you adjust to it in time....I've done trips to Germany with my (former bike) RSV1000, which basically puts your knees to your chest and has a padded plank for a seat.Compared to that, the Nine-T is a real plush place!

@@BunnyKingHogs thanks for the reply ya few weeks ago went to Gettysburg PENNSYLVANIA bike bike rally / show for 4 days about 350 mile ride one way this August going up to Maine on the ocean for 3 days about 310 miles plus bunch of little rides when we can wife and I are enjoying our new 2020 HD ultra limited awesome bike well enjoy ride safe guys love the videos

BMW’s are great bikes. That motor is very efficient. The things I don’t like are the jugs stick out and don’t allow for Highway pegs or any way to stretch your legs on a long ride. I’m a die hard Harley guy. Harley isn’t the best built machine, but it has one of the greatest support networks world wide.
Agrees, they were really fun to ride and the bike was so easy to control. For me the seat would need changing or the setup of the bike. For the R18, the side engine was difficult to overcome
Why not just put one sticker on left of bike bar and then Brian can just say sticker so that would be left and right is no sticker I’ve heard of a few people get mixed up with left and right so your not on your own 👍

She wants colours, but not normal colours. But even then I don't think it will work as she pictures the turn, the easier turn being right, so It is trying to work out which turn she thinks is easiest...

Modern day mystery for sure HAHA. I also struggled on the R18, the engine restricts the movement of the legs, on a long distance ride I would not be able to go longer than an hour before needing to stretch. But I am 6'4 in height
You need to try a Indain challenger they are longer and more leg room. The motor is smooth and lots of power.

@@BunnyKingHogs because you rode it like a Harley but it needs to be ridden differently... ;) Anyway it's quite interesting how we all have different feelings about bikes because of the circumstances we are in... For me let's say it was too many years on cruisers and slow bikes so for a change I wanted something poky but at the same time someone else could buy a Harley or a slow Enfield Classic because he's (or she's) got enough of this sort of excitement. And there are also people who enjoy riding one motorcycle for the whole life.
