Fun episode as always. I attended the Hill Country Yarn Crawl back in 2015. I made it to 11 of 14 shops and had a blast. I really enjoyed chatting with other crawlers and meeting podcasters and yarn dyers. It was nice to purchase the featured yarns at a discount and to receive free patterns as well as pins (from each shop) for my crawl bag. Thank you for sharing.

That was so fun!!! Your wedding dress is gorgeous! Glad everyone is feeling better. Such a lovely saturday spent with you! I have done wool walks, in the Chicago area. They were fun, but it was kind of during the pandemic, and I think yours sounds so fun! I wish I could be there to join. Can't wait to see your exclusive color! All the best! Kimberly

I have done a few yarn crawls ( in the midwest) and I love that each yarn store had a free pattern that was designed in house.

My favorite yarn crawl memory is meeting and chatting with Kathleen at last year’s NJ Wool Walk! My daughter purchased some beautiful yarn on sale that she knit into an Andrea Mowry shawl for Rhineback. We both won skeins of yarn, as well. Had lunch at a recommendation by staff that was delicious. ❤

I've never been on an official yarn crawl, but the Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop is coming up in April, and I'm very excited! I love your idea on having a coffee shop map for the Wool Walk!

I have not been on a yarn crawl, but I have been on a few Shop hops for quilting and fabric shops. I loved it and of course I tried to purchase a little something from every shop that I visited.

I love seeing everyone's yarn crawl experiences, but I've never made it to one. The closest option is over a 2 hour drive to the nearest participating LYS, and more to the others, so it hasn't been possible yet. I keep saying one day though, so maybe when the kids are older...
Your projects are as always spot on, and I cannot wait to see the LBA Yarnia colorway projects live and in color

I have never been on a yarn crawl, but we visited a yarn store while traveling and they had a table set up for “yarn tasting” - they had sample skeins of yarn and needles so you could try knitting on the yarn. Some pieces were started in garter stitch and others on stockinette so you could just pick up the project and Knit to see how you liked the yarn. I thought that was a great idea

Hi Kathleen, Jenn and Amanda, Yes, the sound is much better! Another enjoyable podcast! Yes, I have done a few yarn crawls /walk which l learned about the NJ Yarn Crawl/Walk from you at Yarnia. Enjoy the tape measure and Yarnia stich markers. I always start my Crawl/Walk at Yarnia!!
Looking forward to the NJ Yarn Crawl this year and your 'coffee stop" map! Happy Knitting!

In 2015 my sisters and I crawled in the Steel Valley Yarn Crawl in Pittsburgh. So so much fun! When you purchased your passport you had the option of adding on a tote bag for the crawl, which was needed for all of our purchases! As you visited each shop you were provided with a portion of a pattern for a sampler scarf. Can’t remember if I ever made it, but thought it was a great idea.

I have only been on one yarn crawl, the Carnation Trail in Ohio. I only had time to visit two shops in the Columbus area, but it was fun! There was a special tote for sale as well as free wooden stitch markers with the LYS name and logo.

Post COVID I find that the stores have become fewer and farther between so our "yarn crawl" is not something I have attempted. Some of the stores are more than 2 hours away. Pre-COVID my step mother and I spent a day going to 7 different shops on the crawl. Our focus was to go to shops we had not been aware of before downloading the list of shops. It was fun and expensive, as I spent money in almost every store. Samples are definitely a way to draw people in to buy yarn for a project.

I went on the 2018 and 2022 NJ Wool Walks. My husband might say that every out of town trip we've taken since I started knitting is actually a Yarn Crawl. I always want to see a new yarn store.

Hi ladies. I’ve been on yarn crawls in NJ and FL. What I liked here in Florida was a special project bag was for sale, as well as a special yarn color ( which you are doing) but they also sold pins commemorating the crawl that you could put on your bag. Lots of excitement buying the new goodies.

I try to go on each yarn crawl that I can find in Michigan. West, southeast and Middle of the Mitt. I love when the shops design their own crochet and knit pattern for the crawlers. Someday, 🤞 I’ll make it to yours.

I’ve done parts of the Great North Yarn Crawl and the I91 Shop Hop. So much fun, but I didn’t have enough time to do all - busy time of life with my family. I think a mini skein unique to the store would be fun to collect at each of the shops that could be used in a fun pattern

I’ve never been to a Yarn crawl/walk. It sounds really fun. I live in Las Vegas and we only have one LYS. I only started knitting with wool two years ago when I decided to try knitting socks. My husband loves his hand knit socks. Maybe some day I can plan a trip out there and hit all the yarn shops.

I have done the Hill Country Yarn Crawl here in Texas, and my LYS has a yarn tasting every year. I love trying to do a yarn crawl because I learn about new LYS that I didn't know existed.I wish I could do the Wool Walk. I used to live in Morristown when I worked at Fairleigh Dickinson Florham. Maybe when I retire and come back east to visit family I can do my own version of the Wool Walk
