**VERY IMPORTANT** Make sure you are not closing the popup that says APIv1 Connect Window in GSPro, that also has the General and Debug tabs. Just minimize it.
    Enjoy...cheers!

Hey John, I followed all your steps and my Garmin is blinking blue like it’s not connecting to the PC? Should I have it connected to my phone at all? I also did watch joes video about bridging E6 connect but that didn’t work either as the video is a year old so assuming they have changed something.
Any help would be appreciated, I’ve just finishing building my sim and now little worried I can’t use it 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Sometimes it's difficult for me to figure out what's happening without being there but here are some ideas from the past. ***VERY IMPORTANT***Make sure you are not closing the popup that says APIv1 Connect Window in GSPro, that also has the General and Debug tabs. Just minimize it. Also make sure that you have a clean JSON file for the GSPro BT connector app. I advise leaving it in the original folder you unzip it to in addition to leaving the GSPro connector app start file in there and just create a shortcut to it on your desktop. Sometimes your firewall can block all kinds of golf sim software. Especially 3rd party Virus protection / firewalls. I'm running Windows Defender virus protection and firewall on my golf sim pc because of this. In the end the Garmin R10 is NOT supported by GSPro so it can become difficult to figure out. If this does not help I suggest trying the Springbok connector. You can connect through BT or direct. Watch this video from Triple Bogey Golf for details. th-cam.com/video/ov2vLTtnCQ4/w-d-xo.html.

I have gotten this to work but it was a battle trying over and over each time. It now connects but does not detect the ball. The monitor shows connected in Bluetooth, the program just does not work consistently. I have finally given up on it.

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes it's a simple setting that throws everything off. Mine kept on disconnecting and it was not the fault of the Garmin or the GSPro BT connector app. It was my internal PC BT adaptor. It even said it was still connected to Bluetooth! It was not strong enough in my three car garage. I purchased one with an antenna on Amazon for $15 and disabled the internal BT connector and it has not disconnected since. Make sure you are not closing the popup that says APIv1 Connect Window, that also has the General and Debug tabs. Just minimize it. Another thing you can do is open GSPro first. Just minimize the APIv1 Connect Window without closing. Then hit F11 and minimize GSPro. THEN start your bluetooth connector and maximize GSPro then hit F11. This works for some people. Also make sure that you have a clean JSON file for the GSPro BT connector app. I advise leaving it in the original folder you unzip it to in addition to leaving the GSPro connector app start file in there and just create a shortcut to it on your desktop. In the end the Garmin R10 is NOT supported by GSPro so it can become difficult to figure out. If this does not help I suggest trying the Springbok connector. You can connect through BT or direct. I follow the steps as you showed but when I open GSPro it disconnects the API. I do run the API as an administrator. PLEASE HELP.

I'm assuming that you mean the connector not the API as an admin. Make sure you are not closing the popup that says APIv1 Connect Window, that also has the General and Debug tabs. Just minimize it. Another thing you can do is open GSPro first. Just minimize the APIv1 Connect Window without closing. Then hit F11 and minimize GSPro. Make sure when you open the GSpro software DO NOT CLOSE the Initial window just minimize it. Then allow the main GS pro to open…

Thank you James. I posted the information in the comments and pinned it to the top. I also put THIS in the video description. "Make sure you are not closing the popup that says APIv1 Connect Window in GSPro, that also has the General and Debug tabs. Just minimize it." I never anticipated that people would close it. It's a habit I guess. People close popups! Stay tuned. More SkyTrak content to come and I have a Uneekor Eye Mini Lite coming soon.

I have the Garmin R10 and looks like the GS pro software is the way to go. Besides the annual subscription from GSPro is there anything else you need to purchase in order to get access to all the golf courses. Your videos are great and very informative

As long as you have a gaming PC with a good GPU and at least 16 gig of RAM for 1080P that's it. Once you have installed the software hundreds of courses will be available to you. Click on "Local Match" then check the box that says "Show All Courses." You can then view all available courses or search for them and download what you want. Once you uncheck the box it will only show the ones you have downloaded. Thanks for watching, commenting and the nice compliment. Cheers!

Do people have to tweak their elevation and humidity settings to get more accurate data ? I use the Garmin app, and the awesome golf app and I seem to need to set GSPRO elevation to 4000ft to get accurate ball flight distances…

I have seen quite a few people tweek the elevation setting. You could also try going back and forth with the GSPro and the Garmin algorithm which you can change in the settings or try RCT balls

John I downloaded the gps-r10 connect to my laptop screen and began to run the app but when I started it the following occurred top line in red.
“ main X settings.json file not found or could could not be opened in C:\users\jburk\OneDrive\Desktop”. In addition my R10 still will not connect to laptop Bluetooth
    Thanks
    Jim

The GSPro connector uses the .json file for all of the required data parameters. It can't find it because it is not in it's original location. Just drag the .json file back to C:\users\jburk\OneDrive\Desktop OR uninstall the connector and reinstall it but leave the .json file in it's original installed location. When the connector downloads it installs 2 files. The connector and the .json file

So I'm back here is my latest issue. I followed all the suggestions in your excellent video.
    1. Paired the R10 to the laptop and made sure to set discovery to advance
    2. On Bluetooth software clicked on properties, then clicked on compatibility and choose run this as administrator.
When I open the blue tooth software and have the R10 on, the launch monitor starts blinking green which is correct and means I have a good blue tooth connection. When I then open the GsPro software it immediately stops blinking green and starts blinking blue which means I lost my Bluetooth connection.
I might add that I have the tooth software Minimized working in the background. Has anyone experienced this and if so, help me out please😮

It does not sound like it's starting in administrator mode. Did you save it when you checked the box? Does it prompt you if you would like to start in administrator mode when you click on the BT connector? Last thing to try that I know. Start GSPro but don't advance past the configuration screen where you select your display resolution and graphics type (Ultra, high etc). Then start your connector in administrator mode, then start GSPro from the configuration screen

I’m having the same issue, R10 blink blue. But the PC showed it is paired.

    • @viettran581
      @viettran581 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

I finally got it. If you look closely, it showes Approach R1 paired but you want it to be connected. So now, go to the JSON file, and change Approach R10 to Approach R1 then save. Now you can connect instead of paired.

As John says in his excellent video, make sure you list yourself as the administrator and make sure you hit apply. Otherwise, it won’t accept that Choice.
      2nd:
I have found what works for me is I open GSpro 1st and the data window appears DO NOT Close just Minimize it, and then you’re into GSpro. Then I will turn on the Bluetooth software and it’s solved my problems. I was closing the data window which was not allowing the Bluetooth connect to work with GSpro. Hope this makes sense.
